Recent Fun Times at Cornerstone Ranch
You touch a dream, and know it's there,
Like elusive waves of wind-tossed air,
Your mind is clear, your heart is light,
A moment's bliss before its flight,
Your equine friends, they come and go
But in a stall or meadow you'll always know
As mayflies dance on a glittering stream
You can bide a while and hold your dream.

A Winter Ride by Amy Lowell
Who shall declare the joy of the running!
Who shall tell of the pleasures of flight!
Springing and spurning the tufts of wild heather,
Sweeping, wide-winged, through the blue dome of light.
Everything mortal has moments immortal,
Swift and God-gifted, immeasurably bright.
So with the stretch of the white road before me,
Shining snow crystals rainbowed by the sun,
Fields that are white, stained with long, cool, blue shadows,
Strong with the strength of my horse as we run.
Joy in the touch of the wind and the sunlight!
Joy! With the vigorous earth I am one.
Come on down to the Ranch to enjoy the beautiful ❄️winter wonderland❄️ with your favorite horsey friends 🐴💖
A lot of time and devotion is given to the new horses in-training to eventually be part of the program at Cornerstone Ranch. Our rising stars! ✨ After a Christmas Day training session, youngsters Rocky and Twigs decided to cut loose and come up with their very own drills. Their athleticism is always impressive to see in action.
Riding lessons are held in our indoor arena through the winter. Taking lessons is a great way to develop core strength, form bonds with the horses, learn to ride the different gaits of the horse along with different maneuvers, and build friendships with fellow riders!
Lessons are booked online, we offer private, semi- private, group, and ground lessons. Come down to the Ranch and learn about how to be a better partner for your horse! 🤠
Meanwhile, back at the Ranch! The beautiful Percheron horses get some mid-week driving practice while transporting water to a horse pasture on the Rutland side of the Ranch.
