Todays Doggy Makeover. This girl needed a lot of TLC. She is about 80lbs and this was her first grooming ever, she's two years old. We got her on a 6 week schedule now. She did absolutely amazing for it being her first groom ever by a groomer.

One of my favorite HUGE Doodles that I groom every 6 weeks. This ones coat is so thick and curly. It take me 1 hour just to dry the coat before I even start tye hair cut. I do her sister also, luckily she is a bit smaller and not so curly. I don't think they wanted me to leave, they stood in the window until I left. LoL

Two more new Clients. These two needed a complete makeover. They are on a 6 week grooming schedule now. They were great little troopers with all the work it took to remove the coat to start it over from scratch. Now that they are on a 6 week grooming schedule they shoukd be fluffy in no time.

Don't worry I'll still be working tomorrow and making all my appointments.

Never ever walk down your stairs at night without turning on the light. I missed the last step and fell flat on my face hard with a bowl of cereal in one hand and a glass of water in the other hand. I did not spill either but I paid for not just dropping them. LoL. Falling down the stairs at almost 59 years old is not fun. It looks nasty but luckily it does not hurt so I don't think I did any real damage other than just swelling up. It will be stiff until the swelling goes down.

Todays doggy makeover. This little girl needed to be shaved down to restart her coat from being in a little rough shape. I forgot to take the before photo. She was very nervous and did not like certain things done, but after working with her on different techniques for scared doggys we were able to complete her groom and get her coat back under control. She's on a 6 week grooming schedule now, can't wait to continue working with her to get her not to dislike being groomed. From how it started today I think she did great at letting me work on here area where she did not want to be touched.

EDIT. the 2nd picture should say shave down not shakedown. lol

This one is of the grooming of the body.

People wonder why it cost so much to groom a doodle. Here are two full unedited videos. One is of the blow-drying of the coat. Took about 43 minutes, the 2nd video is just the hair cut on the body. Which took about 32 minutes. Keep in mind this video does not include the prep-work and bath which took about 40 minutes. And the the grooming of the head that took about another 20 minutes. I ran out of space to record the grooming of the head. Also it was raining and very humid this day so this added about 15 minutes to the blow-dry and cut to get a smooth finish. This is a pet cut so most of it was don't with clippers and then scissors for the legs and face. . Facebook will not let me post them together so I'll make two post. This is the blow dry.

Fun day at the groomer.
