😁The rumor is true!! Steffen Performance Horses has moved to Prineville Oregon. We have been blessed to be able to afford to buy our own place in Prineville only 20 min from our previous rental facility in Powell Butte. We have been working countless hours along side amazing friends and family to build our new facility. We can't even come close to thanking all our friends and family enough for all thier hard work. And to our sponsor Noble Panels & Gates, Inc for the awesome stalls and gates. We still have a ton of work to do but it's finally starting to come together.❤️❤️

For all of us with a heart for competition this is great insight worth a read :

There is a misconception that if you are a Christian competitor that means you are less of a competitor.

Christians are supposed to turn the other cheek and be peacemakers, so how does that align with competition where you are vying for the victory the other team also is striving for?

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 delivers a string of instructions; among them the charge to do everything in love. That means to compete in love. Because Americans have misconstrued the word love, we are left with a sense that Christians are soft or weak competitors, but that isn’t what we are called to at all.

Colossians 3:17 instructs us to “do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Earlier in 1 Corinthians, Paul commands that “whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

If we are competing to bring God glory and in the name of the Lord Jesus, we are wise to remember that doing our best honors the LORD as worship. It honors our commitment to our team. We love our team by doing our job. It also honors our opponent because they are worth our best efforts.

The world spews the message that winning is most important; that if you want to be a fierce competitor you have to compromise your character for a few hours during competition. But God’s Word through Paul would stand in contrast to that.

Be alert to where you are compromising. Stand firm in the faith by connecting with God daily and holding fast to your godly character. To compete with godly character and excellence takes courage and strength – stand firm!

Happy Birthday Red Lewis!!! This guy is who keeps our horses rolling!! It's the feet that make a horse and in our opinion Red is the BEST farrier there is. Not just because he has the knowledge it takes to shoe a horse well but also he has the love to it takes to serve the horses and the people who own them. ROCK O RAMA would not be a two time 2024 Open Futurity CHAMPION without Red. Rocko had and accident as a yearling which left a scar on his front hoof. This front foot continues to have a quarter crack due to this scar. If not for Red he would not be sound to compete at the level he has this year. Red is amazing an a farrier, a forever friend and a part of team Steffen Performance Horses. Happy Birthday Red!!!!

🔥🔥Blessed to be in the winners circle at the CRCHA Futurity and Derby.🔥🔥

ROCK O RAMA does it again!!! 2024 CRCHA Open Futurity CHAMPION! Congratulations once again to KanDu Ranch on raising this great gelding!!.

SPECIALITY owned by Anne Reynolds had high reining score of 221 and ended up 4th in the Open Futurity.

Once again DR.STRANGELOVE did not disappoint. He had a huge fence score in Open derby of a 224 rounding out his composite to a 660.5 tieing for 3rd in Open Derby. Congratulations to his owner Joyce Pearson!
