“I became a pet sitter because I love taking care of animals. Since I also love to travel, I can appreciate a team that takes such good care of my pets. After meeting Justina and her team and how they cared for my Todd for years I wanted to be part of it. Just so happened I found myself free of an 8 to 5 job and could join the team. I love meeting the animals and their parents and letting them know they are loved and being well taken care of. It is heartwarming to see all the fur babies and how they are so loved by their parents. I have a two year old grandson. So happy to be part of a team that allows me to spend time with the fur babies in my neighborhood and my grandkids.”

So proud of this pretty lady! Jake from .mn showed several chamber and community members that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks today at Lunch and Learn.

Lela might be 8 years young, but she is food motivated, people motivated, and highly trainable. She did an amazing job of learning “Place” with well over 20 spectators watching her every move.

I’ll share some of the chamber photos and videos later on. For now, this sweet baby is taking a much deserved nap! 🐾

I came across this old picture of our cat, Alfred, back when we had fish tanks. The cats loved watching the fishies swim! Now when the cats get bored we turn on CatTv on YouTube and it entrances them for hours (and keeps them from meowing at the bedroom door at night 😂).

I am absolutely reeling after receiving this incredible honor last night:

Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year

I think 🥹😳🤩🙂‍↕️🤯🫣🫨 perfectly captures the whirlwind of emotions I’m feeling!

I joined the in 2018, not long after starting my business. Back then, I had no idea what “networking” even was, but Google convinced me it was something I should try—so I signed up. Nearly seven years later, I find myself surrounded by incredible business owners, hardworking individuals, caring community members, and most importantly, friends.

When I started my company, my only goal was to help people like me. My dog Neville spent way too much time alone, and I was constantly trying to find someone to watch him. I wanted to spend more time with him and give other pet parents the peace of mind that their pets were okay while they were away.

Neville’s journey—and mine—has brought me here. I’m so fortunate to serve this amazing community, work with an incredible team of employees who keep everything running smoothly, and have the flexibility to be with my kids when they need me most. I’m endlessly grateful for my husband who had no idea what he was signing up for when I asked him 5.5 years ago, “So…do you like dogs, cats, and bunnies?” He’s taken on the lion’s share of kid and household duties, and I couldn’t do this without him.

Thank you to my family for always supporting me, and to my friends who’ve been my loudest cheerleaders along the way.

This honor means the world to me, and the fact that everyone managed to pull off this incredible surprise makes it even more unforgettable!

The past couple of months have been incredibly tough for our small but dedicated rescue team. We've battled an overwhelming surge of parvo cases—TEN, to be exact. This new strain of parvo is unlike anything we've ever encountered, and it's taken a heartbreaking toll on both our hearts and our finances. While we've lost some pups, we've also fought tirelessly to save others—but each victory and loss comes at a high cost.

Remi joined our team the summer of 2022. If you are a vacation client you’ve likely seen her name on the schedule for those early morning breakfast visits or weekend pet sitting stops. Here’s a little more about Remi:

•Why did you decide you wanted a job pet sitting?

“I like to be a busy person and pet sitting is a flexible job that works with my schedule.”

•Do you have another job?

•I am a full-time Sales & Events Manager at a limousine company.”

•Fave animal or breed to care for?

“I don’t have a favorite. They all have their own personalities so it’s hard to pick a favorite animal or breed.”

•What pets do you have/what was your fave pet?

“I have an 8 year old pitbull, Lovely. She is my favorite.”

•Favorite part of this job?

“I love seeing pets personalities and the funny/silly things they do.”

•Do you have a general care tip for clients?

“Check in with Justina every few months to make sure the notes she has (then shares with us internally) still line up with what is needed for your pets.”

•Tell us about your family.

“My mom lives in Wisconsin and my brother and his family live in South Dakota so a lot of travel to see them! My 3.5 and 2 year old nieces make it so worth it though.”

•Fun fact about you?

“I have a black belt in karate!”

Remi came to us with a background in pet sitting for another company. We are so lucky to have her knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail on the team. The pets we care for have been lucky to have the consistency of seeing Remi on the schedule. Thanks for spending the last 2.5 years with us!
