Meet our February Featured Pet of the Month Willow!

Willow is a Shiba Inu/ American Eskimo Mix
I have had her for 2.5 years
Her favorite “toy” are my socks, she steals them.
Willow loves to run outside in the backyard, she will spend hours outside if she has the opportunity.
Willow is a sweet girl and spends time with kids and older adults to make them feel happy! Melissa will be receiving a $25.00 gift certificate for Willows next visit.

As you may have heard Save This Life microchip company and registry has dissolved. We’ve been working hard to find a way to re-register the microchips we have placed in our patients. We are proud to announce that going forward we will be using PetLink.
PetLink has been a leader in pet identification and reunification for over 30 years. PetLink makes it easy to update your contact information, and even provides coverage if you take your pet abroad They have no complicated processes or annual renewals, they promise to keep your pet safe for life.
We will be working with PetLink over the next few weeks to get all of our current microchip patients re-registered. You should receive a welcome email from them. Please let us know if you do not receive an email in the next month.

Keep Your Pets Safe in Extreme Cold! 🐾❄️

Winter weather can be harsh on our furry friends, but with a little extra care, we can keep them safe and comfortable. Here are some tips to protect your pets from the cold:

❄️ Limit outdoor time: Short walks are better than long ones, and be mindful of their paws on icy surfaces.
Dress your pet warmly: If your pet has short fur, consider a cozy sweater or jacket.
🏠 Provide a warm shelter: Ensure your pet has access to a heated indoor space or a protected outdoor area if they stay outside.
Keep paws clean and dry: Snow, ice, and salt can cause irritation. Wipe their paws when they come inside.
🧊 Watch for signs of frostbite: If you notice redness or pale areas on ears, paws, or tails, get your pet indoors quickly.

Congratulations Rylee on being our January Featured Pet!
Rylee is a rat terrier/whippet mix. We rescued him when he was 2 years old and he is now 15 1/2 and spunkier than ever!! He enjoys chewing on a bullstick or playing tug of war with his younger brother R***r. In his free time unlike most older dogs he really doesn't nap much, he is always up to mischief or bugging his brother to play. He still enjoys zummies around the backyard or a quiet ride in the car to sightsee ♥️🐾

Found Dog Alert 🐾

This sweet girl was found near Ipava Ave and 175th St around 7 AM today. Our Crime Analyst is keeping her company for now, but she will soon be taken to Dakota Pet Hospital.
