Meet Kylo, a chihuahua who came in for a nail injury and left with a smile and an e-collar! 🩺😊 We treated him with pain medication and an antibiotic injection to help him heal, and he was the sweetest boy throughout his visit.

Meet Rory! She came in after munching on a rib bone — a little too tempting, we guess! While she was here, we couldn’t help but notice her stunning eyelashes, so she took home our "Best Hair" award. 🏆

Charlie, the adventurous Miniature Schnauzer, had quite the dramatic day! He decided to take on the garbage truck in a high-speed chase and ended up with a broken nail from his daring dash. We sedated him, carefully removed the broken nail, and gave his paw a proper bandage. This little guy is as brave as they come! 🦸♂️

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.

Pet Tip Friday!
Traveling with your pet? Set you and your furry friend up for a successful trip by carefully packing their essentials. Bring food, a bowl, a collar and leash, a waste scoop, plastic bags, grooming supplies, medication and first-aid, and any travel documents. Pack a favorite toy or pillow to give your pet a sense of familiarity. Be sure to pack plenty of water, and avoid feeding your pet in a moving vehicle.
Your pet's travel-feeding schedule should start with a light meal three to four hours prior to departure, and always opt for bottled water. Drinking water from an area he or she isn’t used to could result in stomach discomfort.
Finally, research veterinary care options along the way and at your final destination just in case you need them. has 83 locations nationwide to help with local and visiting pets in need of same-day care!
Mewmew was not feeling herself, had a fever, and had not been eating for a few days. We tested for some common feline infectious diseases and administered an anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, subcutaneous fluids, and cuddles to help reduce her fever and make her feel better. She let us know just how she felt in the room and was the sweetest kitty ever. We are sending our well wishes for miss Mewmew!
Beautiful Bonnie came to us after having some GI issues for a few days. We were able to treat her vomiting and diarrhea in hospital with a cerenia injection (helps with vomiting and nausea), subcutaneous fluids, and an antidiarrheal. We also sent her home with some GI support and cerenia for the next few days. We hope this cutie is feeling better!
