Meet Calcifer! Or Cal for short. 🐈⬛He’s the SWEETEST baby boy who was recently rescued, which is very lucky for him because Cal is suffering from SEVERE sarcoptic mange (scabies) that has caused diffuse scabbing on his face, neck, and all legs down to his paws. He can barely open his eyes is very underweight. 😢Scabies is highly contagious, so Cal is now living in the isolation ward at Embrace. Once he’s well, Cal will be an eligible bachelor looking for his new best friend and furever home! 🏠Follow Cal’s healing journey and transformation! He’s already the sweetest, and soon he’ll be the most handsome, too. 💜🐈⬛

Day of the Dead is a Mexican celebration of loved ones passed away. This holiday is believed to be a time where our passed loves ones visit us from beyond the grave. October 27th is a day specific to memorialize our lost pets.
Thank you to everyone who participated and shared images of your pets who have passed. They will forever be in our hearts, and we are so grateful to be a part of their journey on this special day.

UPDATE ON UNIQUE, now named MERCY: IT’S BATH TIME! She had mats removed from her feet and ears, eyes cleaned, and now a nice warm bath. She’s getting all of the love and spoiling. Plus, her anemia is stable! It takes 3-5 days to make new red blood cells, so we’re hoping to see her anemia improve this week with continued supportive care. Send her all of the good vibes!
Update on Unique- I just came up to take her for a potty break, feed her another small meal, and give her a much needed pedicure (she struggles to walk from weakness, and the long nails weren’t helping!). Tomorrow she’ll get her first bath in what appears to be a looooong time, along with continued iv fluids and supportive care. Thank you to Every Life Matters Animal Rescue - ELMAR for pulling this girl from the euthanasia list today. She has a big spirit and deserves all the love ❤️.

Curious as to what a laser therapy session looks like? 🧐
We have been doing Laser Therapy sessions on Kayden for the past couple of weeks. We found that what works best for him is that he prefers to be chilling on the couch with his Human Sister (Thank You, Jessica!!) with one of his favorite toys or a bone to chew on. We use a towel to block his eye sight, since he does not tolerate having the adorable Doggles on his head! The laser can cause eyesight damage if you are not wearing eye protection (which we do have!)
We like to tell owners that it is essentially like getting a nice hot stone massage (except its not that hot!) but its very relaxing for your pets and usually you will see improvements within a few weeks!

❗️❗️UPDATE❗️❗️ 5/13 Vanilla Bean has found a home finally! Yay! 🥳😍👏 We will be seeing her again soon for a spay but we can't wait to see her flourish in her new home!

She is such a sweet kitty and really enjoys her belly rubs! She is staying at the clinic with us until we find a suitable home for her. She begs for attention constantly but is also okay just hanging out and lounging around! Embrace Wellness Animal Clinic will be covering all vaccine boosters, her spay procedure, and a microchip!
She was a farm kitty, but way too gorgeous to stay outside! She is 100% litter trained. She miroculously tested negative for heartworms/FELV/FIV! SHe is roughly 4 years old and does great with kids! She hasn't been around amny dogs yet, but does not seem very interested
