GOOD MORNING! GUESS WHAT TODAY IS... its NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY!!

We could use your help more than ever! Today we celebrate 10 years of saving the lives of over 1200 Border Collies!! And we are needed more than ever with notice yesterday or a request to help rescue over 70 dogs from a breeder. It will be impossible for us to help without your help and support.

Our goal is high this year, $20,000 and if our supporters and alumni donation just $100 each, we can hit our goal and be able to help rescue many more amazing dogs!!

Dogs like these are living their best lives with your help.

Never forget ❤️‍🩹
Alongside the near 10,000 rescue workers who worked tirelessly during this tragedy, there were 300 search and rescue dogs alongside their handlers to provide assistance in the search, rescue, recovery and the comfort of survivors.

One of our very trusted and true heroes is Bob Deeds with our most trusted dog trainers - Canine Connection and we thank him yet again for the service he and his S&R dog Kinsey dedicated with Texas Task Force 1.

Meet Gus!
Gus is a stunning red and white BCxpyr mix who is around 11 months old.
He is neutered and UTD on a shots.
Gus got the best of both breeds and is incredibly smart and loyal!
He is both crate and leash trained. Is mastering his leash walking and will chat with you all day long if you let him.

🥰 Winnie the wonder mama! 🫶🏻

Meet me, Winnie! You’ve probably seen me before, I’ve been in BCRRT care for awhile after being found in the rain, on the side of the road heavily pregnant by a volunteer!

They did everything from helping me prep for the puppies, aiding me through all the nursing and helping to care for 9 puppies and once they got adopted i then went through my own health journey - heart worm treatment, dental care and making sure no more puppies! 🐶

I am around 6-7 years old who loves getting the zoomies with my foster brother! I’m a big fan of cuddling and snuggling on the sofa after a good zoom 🏎️

I am crate trained. Leash trained. Love a good car ride AND I’m great with kitties and chickens 🐓

🐶Our Social Media Intern, Buckley, got a package in the mail yesterday and discovered his friends over had sent him the best gift of all…FOOD! 🤩 he tested it out and it’s safe to say, we think he loved it 🤤 and he’s excited to share that it’s now available for all his furry Texan friends at your local so he’s adding it to the shopping list asap!

Meet Estee, a sweet 9-year-old Border Collie with the heart of a puppy and a playful spirit that never fades!
Estee was rescued from a hoarding situation, but despite her past, she absolutely loves people and is happiest when she’s by your side, sharing in every moment.
She’s incredibly friendly, great with kids, and always wagging her tail at everyone she meets—both human and canine.
Estee is learning to sit, is potty trained (but does best with a puppy pad available just in case), and doesn’t mind riding in the car, though she’s not a big fan of being in a crate.

While she can get a bit of a one-track mind when chasing her favorite toy, her enthusiasm is part of her charm.
Estee has so much love to give.
She’s truly the sweetest little senior, full of energy and joy, looking for a forever home where she can spend her days surrounded by love and warmth.

Gus is a beautiful red and white 7 month old border collie / great pyrenes mix. He is neutered and healthy, weighs about 50 pounds. He is very food motivated which helps him be an eager learner. Gus is very gentle when receiving a treat from your hand. He knows basic commands. He is crate trained and potty trained. Walks alright on a leash. He is vocal. Very active and yet super cuddly. Lucy goosey goose 🪿 or at least that’s what my foster dad says when it’s time for dinner!

Hi! My name is Lucy! I am a 5 year old female Border Collie in the DFW area, searching for my furever home. Is that you?! I am around 40lbs, spayed and UTD on shots. I’m your typical BC - herdy, nerdy, active and playful! And sometimes a little quirky.

I was an owner-surrender to a Texas shelter because my owners couldn’t care for my vet bills anymore. After many tests, trials and treatments the vets were a little stumped on why I sometimes have issues digesting my food 🍲 sometimes I eat too quickly and sometimes food gives me indigestion so it comes back up. It doesn’t affect me much beyond some fluctuating weight and doesn’t happen all the time - see, quirky! My foster parents said whoever adopts me just needs to be patient and kind with me.

I would do best as an only dog or with a four-legged friend who is playful and doesn’t mind me wanting to herd them! I would also do best in a home with older children because I do like to herd (I’m a border collie!) Maybe even an older home with someone to keep me company during the day, walks and play time!

I am cat tested and safe, the resident cat is a little scary. I am crate trained, leash trained and my favourite thing in the world is to play fetch!!

We had a handful of adoptions happen over the last week or so and wanted to share!

❤️ Sweet Ted.E Bear is off living his best life with a new fur sibling and Mom and Dad!
❤️ The ever handsome Wyjo found his place in South Texas with some new fur siblings and horses! 🐎
❤️ Holiday is going to think every day is a holiday too since finding her furever love 🥰
❤️ And who could forget Dottie! Her foster family realised she was already in her FUREVER home with them and adopted her!! We love a happy ending 😍

We haven’t given up hope and we hope y’all haven’t either!

Sweet Charlie is still missing from the Aubrey, TX area and it has now been 4 weeks since he first went missing and 2 weeks since we last confirmed a sighting of him.

We know dogs can travel large distances, especially when spooked but we won’t give up home and continue to set up live traps, feeding stations and keep scrolling found dogs posts all over TX and even into OK now.

Please share! We want you to come home Charlie! You have a whole rescue of friends who miss you 😭

ADOPTED! 😁

🌸Meet Dottie! She is a bundle of sweetness and charm! Dottie is 3 years old and weighs about 65 lb. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventive medications. She has a super chill personality and is looking to live a simple life with her fur-ever family💕

She would love a family who has:
🐕 a yard where she can run, play, and look for squirrels 😉
🛋️ a couch where she can snuggle with her fur-ever people (her favorite time)
🛏️ a dog bed for when she wants her space
🎾 toys to keep her entertained
But, most importantly, she just wants people she can call her own!

Dottie had a rough start; she was surrendered while pregnant and unfortunately lost her babies. But, her personality blossomed over the past couple of months, filled with love and happy energy, making her the perfect family dog. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows commands like "sit," "paw," "touch," and "wait," and she's ready to learn more. Don’t be fooled by her cute face. She is super smart!

Dottie adores children but is not cat friendly and can be selective with other dogs. She prefers calm dogs that don’t overly invade her space, but she will give lots of body language signs when a dog is too much for her. She would be most comfortable when she is the only dog.

One of the new things for her was walking on a leash. As a herding breed, she has a natural inclination to chase. However, she has made great progress and no longer chases every moving thing. Squirrels, however, are too fun to resist playing with 🙂 She is learning not to become overstimulated and walks pretty well in less busy areas with a longer leash.

🚨 Charlie is still missing! 🚨

We haven’t given up hope and we hope you haven’t either!
Sweet Charlie is still missing and presumed to still be in the Aubrey, TX area. Most recent plausible sightings are the Woodlands development and north of Hoppers Ranch near Spring Market.

Charlie was last seen wearing his collar and tag. He is microchipped! Please continue to keep an eye out, not just in the area but on local TX lost animal groups, Nextdoor, Ring Communities etc for postings.

Come home Charlie! 😢
