It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tidewater Equine Clinic's founder, Dr. Gary Doxtater. We are deeply saddened by the loss. He was a valued member of our team, and a great friend and mentor. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Fluffy started his insulin treatments today and while we are super excited to get him healthy, we need a miracle working foster!! He needs insulin at 7am and 7pm everyday with special diabetic food. We cannot properly monitor him or provide the care he needs at the exact times he needs it. We are hoping to find someone willing to foster him. He’s a very loving cat who is extremely good for his shots and everything. Please reach out to us asap at 804-966-9500 if you can foster him!

***New Stray Alert***

Stray Female, very sweet and friendly, she was found yesterday afternoon, she’s chunky, wearing a nice purple collar, but no ID, and no microchip.

She was stray on Farmer’s Drive, near Tidal Water Road, Barhamsville, VA.

It’s a cold and rainy Saturday morning here at Richmond Animal Care and Control so we are spending a little extra time snuggling up with our furry friends and reminiscing on this past week while also thinking of goals for the new year🥹❤️ let’s see some pictures of you snuggled up with your furbaby and share a goal you have for the new year!😍
