Whew! Summer showed up like ā€˜surprise!’ šŸ˜³ā˜€ļø
Here’s how to keep your pets chill when the temps go wild.

Never leave your pets alone in a parked car — even for a minute. Temperatures can rise dangerously fast! If you see an animal in a vehicle that's off or has closed windows, call your local police immediately. Their life could depend on it.

Does your pet’s stress at the vet stress you out too?
We get it—and we’re here to help.

At PRAH, we use fear free techniques to make every visit as calm and positive as possible—for both you and your pet.

Don’t hesitate to advocate for your pet—you know them best.
We know you want what’s best for them, and so do we. If pre-visit medications are what your pet needs to feel safe and calm, that’s absolutely okay.

Using anti-anxiety medications doesn’t mean your pet is ā€œbad.ā€ It means they’re scared, and they’re responding in the only way they know how—whether that’s hiding, shaking, or showing signs of fear-based aggression.

Our goal is to make each visit as stress-free as possible, and sometimes that starts with a little extra support. šŸ’•šŸ¾

May is "National Microchip Awareness Month"!
A microchip costs little—but gives you a lifetime of reassurance. This little chip also gives your pet a voice when they can't find their way back home.

🐾Microchips use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
🐾In order to scan a microchip - you need to have a special scanner. Shelters and Veterinary hospitals will have those on hand if you ever need a chip scanned!
🐾Microchips are NOT tracking devices - there is no GPS component to them.
🐾If your pet is microchipped and you’ve misplaced their number, don’t worry! Just give us a call—we can scan the chip and provide you with the number.
🐾Each year, make sure your contact information linked to your pet’s microchip is up to date—so if they ever go missing, you can be reached quickly.
