Aggie is posing in front of the Rochambeau marker. She wanted to bring attention to muzzle awareness. Normalize the use of muzzles. Muzzles are a normal tool used for many reasons. They are there to help keep the dog safe, or other people and dogs safe or even the handler. Do not stigmatize the dog or handler for using a muzzle. It doesn't mean the dog is evil or unsafe or unfit to be in public.

For Aggie, she is wearing it until her training takes over as she likes to eat everything on the ground and doesn't like going to the emergency vet. For other dogs, they may be fearful or aurosed or nervous and the muzzle protects them or their handler. If more people used muzzles, there would be far less unfortunate incidents. And a good dog might not get blamed for a poor decision of a human.

The summer flyer series continues with my favorite cocker spaniel, Copley. The way to this handsome boy's heart is by being a human ball throwing machine. His parents have been very patient and put in a ton of work with Copley. He's such a good boy.

Day 2 of the flyer series is Oakley. He was one of my first walking clients in Providence. He is a complicated sweet boy who loves tug and belly rubs, but isn't too fond of rain.

So when I started walking again this past July, I tried a series of flyers in the Wayland Square area. They were all ripped down in less than 5 days, except for one. Frankie's people texted me yesterday when they saw it. I suppose I'll share the flyers over the next week since nobody got to see them.

What a beautiful fall day with B&B on the East Side. There are hidden parks and forests even if you live in the city. There are tons of opportunities to get a reactive or fearful dog out safely. Go enjoy the day.

Mocha wants everyone to know my website and email has changed. It lapsed when I stopped walking, and some guy purchased it to try to sell back to me for $1800. I counter offered him $10. We didn't agree.

Today was a tough day. I had to say goodbye to some of my best friends. I've known these dogs their entire lives. And of course, my last walk, the humans were home with goodbye gifts for me. Making me tear up, running away and crying all the way home. You are all family, and I greatly appreciate you all. I will miss spending my mornings with everyone.

On to my next adventure. Come say hi to us at Mischief Managed. Or take a Nosework class with Triton and Zephyr.

Flashback Friday brings you Tiny Tuna and Not So Tiny Tuna. The first picture was taken in March and Tuna was 8-9 weeks old. The 2nd picture is today, and Tuna is 8 months old. Even though she has been taller than Berger for a while now, Berger is still the best big brother.

Frankie and Baker have not seen each other in over a year, when they were both obnoxious adolescent punks! They have come a long way since they were young puppers. Berry got in on the fun too. They all enjoyed their quiet Juneteenth holiday outing.

Berger and Triton attended their first AKC Fast CAT today at the Stawberry Classic in Brooklyn, CT. The Fast CAT is a timed 100 yard dash. They had a lot of fun and each had 2 qualifying runs. Berger ran 9.07 secs (22.55 mph) and 8.93 secs (22.91 mph) and Triton ran 8.04 sec (25.44 mph) and 7.82 secs (26.16 mph)!

Frankie and Pearl had a fun time along the riverway this afternoon. We had lots of distractions: people, ducks, geese, swans, children and unwanted men trying to pet Frankie. They were awesome. Their only complaint was that Berger wasn't with us today. 🤪

I haven't posted the BFF crew in a while. Berger, Frankie and Pearl had a very busy and fun week! From hiking in the woods, to traversing the mean streets of the East Side or a quick play in a park, they do everything with a smile (well, I try to get Berger to smile but he's often camera shy lol).
