Where Are They Now?

Chop is living the dream—happy, healthy, and snuggly! Our friend here wasn't having the most stress-free time in the shelter, but thankfully he was able to find a comfortable foster parent -- who ended up adopting him!

His shirt? Absolute perfection for lounging around! When he's outside? He struts his stuff outdoors in the brisk air, rocking a harness paired with a stylish vest or sweater. Fashion-forward pup alert! We're so happy Chop found a place to call home.

Remember Pearl & Korg? These two cuties have a new home and new names—Ariel & Puck—and they’re absolutely thriving! 💕🐾

The once-shy Puck has blossomed into a confident, playful boy, and he and Ariel are now best friends, always cuddling and playing together. Plus, Puck is growing fast! 😸

PARL Winter Wisdom: Be Prepared for Winter Storms ❄️🐾

The weather may be a little warmer and the snow may be melting, but Winter is not quite over yet!

Winter weather can be unpredictable, bringing blizzards and power outages when we least expect them. Make sure you’re prepared—and don’t forget to include your pets in your emergency plans!

✅ Stock up on essentials—have at least five days’ worth of food, water, and any necessary medications (including prescriptions, heartworm, and flea/tick preventives).
✅ Keep extra blankets and pet-safe heating options available in case of power loss.
✅ Have a travel crate or carrier ready in case you need to evacuate.

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping you and your pets safe during winter storms.

Nala says "HI! 😃" and Reese says "Nice to meet you!🤝"
Meet Nala and Reese, two adorable pups looking for their people! ❤️ These sweethearts are currently at PARL and can’t wait to meet you.

Nala is shy with new people but warms up with patience, becoming the ultimate lap dog who’ll nudge you for pets and bring her toys to play by your side. Nala would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home as the only dog. She hasn’t met cats yet but finds other dogs a bit scary.

Reese is rarely serious—he’s too busy zooming around, rolling on his back, or showing off his favorite toys (which is usually whatever’s newest!). He loves all toys—big, small, squeaky, rubber—you name it. When he’s done playing, Reese loves to snuggle up with his favorite people, pressing his toy into your hand so you can hold it while he chews. 💕 To him, sharing is caring—so expect plenty of slobbery gifts!

This past weekend, YOUR bunnies and guinea pigs got the ultimate spa treatment—grooming, nail trims, and plenty of TLC! 🛁🐰🐹 But the pampering didn’t stop there… they also had their very own photo shoots to show off their fresh new looks! 📸✨

A huge thank you to Greta and our amazing volunteers for making sure these loves felt their best. Now they’re extra cuddly, camera-ready, and looking for their forever homes!
