Poor Duke still has no interest 😕

Although he is doing great at his foster home, it is just that, a foster -- it's not permanent, and not his forever home.

Meet Baby! 💖

We first learned of Baby after a family member of her owner reached out to us and explained Baby's difficult situation -- her owner has fallen very ill and is no longer able to care for her. Her owner made the heartbreaking decision to start the rehoming process.

Unfortunately, Baby has several growths on her leg that will need medical treatment. We do not believe they are life threatening at this time.

We are working to get these lumps addressed as soon as we can. We are unsure how much the treatment will cost, so we are asking for donations to help with these expenses. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated!

CAT COLONY UPDATE:

First, I want to say thank you to everyone that reached out to help. The support you all showed was truly amazing and we are so thankful to have such caring people involved.

Second, we know we didn't handle this the best way. We mentioned things we shouldn't have and we regret it. We were thinking with our hearts and had good intentions. We have definitely learned from this and apologize to those negatively impacted by this.

Regardless of where the cats are and what entities have been involved, these cats/kittens still need help. They are still living on the streets, fending for themselves.

We have learned there is not proof of a police report, HOWEVER, the cat that is said to have been sexually assaulted will be going to a special vet next week to confirm the assault.

We do have plans to go to the location of the colony and meet these cats in person.

Although many of you amazing people have offered to adopt or foster these cats, there are still more that will need help. If you can't adopt or foster, liking and sharing goes a long way.

Attached are photos of just a few of the cats in the colony. These are the friendly cats who do better around people. Please message us if you are interested in fostering or adopting.

We have removed the posts regarding the cat colony. Thank you to everyone who stepped up to help.

We understand this has caused alarm to those nearby and are goal is to not further an issue, rather help fix it.

We will provide an update shortly. For now, we are in contact with the necessary people, including the police chief.

Our newest intake, Winnie, still needs a foster! 😪

She has been staying in our temporary kennel, which is outdoors. Although it is roomy and has heat lamps, she is still outside in the cold.

We would love to place her with a foster so she can be indoors, in the warmth of a house. Being with a foster also helps us learn more about her -- if she's potty trained, how she does overnight, etc.

Winnie is a 2 year old Cattle mix. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas/ticks. We know she does well around other dogs and is leash trained. We will supply all food, bedding, and any medical treatment.

Congratulations to Gracie on her Gotcha' Day!

Gracie went on a trial adoption last weekend, and it went so well -- she now has a forever home! 💜

We have received SO MANY applications for Apollo, the Husky puppy. Although we are happy he will find a home quickly, we wish that our other doggies available for adoption could get the same attention. 😓

We know they are large breed dogs, which are the most common kind found in shelters. But they don't know that.

They don't know that where they are staying is temporary, and that they are still waiting for their forever home.

All they know is that they were abandoned, dumped, and left to fend for themselves. They know they weren't wanted. But you could change that. 🙏

We have the following dogs available for adoption:

Duke (Lab mix)
Bailey (Shepherd mix)
Peas (Lab mix)
Charley and Marley (Plott Hound mixes)
Callie Jane (Lab Mix)
Winnie (Cattle mix)

We would love to have every single one placed in a home by the end of the year, but that is a big ask.

If you can't give them a home, please like, share, and spread the word so their perfect family finds them. That's our Christmas wish. 💌

FOSTER FOUND

This guy was dumped on the outskirts of Claremore. Unfortunately, the shelter is not able to take him in. 😢

He is malnourished and desperately needs a place to stay in this cold weather. If someone is able to foster him, we will assist with all medical treatment and food/bedding, but we need a foster commitment.

He has done well with children and other dogs. He even has puppy breath! 🐶

FOSTER FOUND

I know we sound like a broken record, but sweet Haley is still needing a foster. 🙏

She is such a sweetheart and very loving. She has done well with all the dogs and cats she was around in previous fosters. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, leash and potty trained.

We will supply all food, bedding, vetting if needed, etc. We just need a place for her to temporarily stay. 😓

Dennis and Edna update:

These two are adjusting so well at their foster home! Dennis (now Mo) is really coming out of his shell. Isn't he so adorable?

Edna (now Minnie) is still a bit reserved, but her fosters have learned she enjoys cuddling (and doesn't mind being run over by her brother 😅)!

My heart is absolutely melting looking at these two and I am so happy we have the chance to help them. 💛
