Shortly after they got to us we found out they had panleukopenia! Thankfully we caught it soon enough and with treatment they recovered amazingly! They are both now super healthy happy babies! This adorable mom and daughter are looking for their forever homes! Jessie is our second longest resident coming up on a year of being in our care. Delilah has only been back with us for a few days after being returned due to no fault of her own. Jessie is about 2 years old and Delilah is around 11 months old.

These girls both have the absolute sweetest temperaments! Both girls are amazing with kids, cats, and other dogs! They are super laid back but also like to have fun. They are both spayed, dewormed, and vaccinated. We are hoping to get them both to their forever homes before the holidays!

💕😇Meet Laurel!😇💕

Laurel is our longest rescue resident coming up on one year of being in our care. Please take a minute to read and share her story in hopes she finds a perfect family!

When I met Laurel she was our first ever rescue dog and it was love at first sight. Laurel came to us after her owner found out she couldn’t have her at her apartment and she tried the shelter where they said they would put her down if her owner didn’t take her back.

Her owner called me in tears begging me to take her back at first I was skeptical because there had to be a good reason the shelter was going to put her down. Hesitantly I agreed to meeting her and doing an evaluation to see if we could take her. We set up a date and that morning I loaded one of my dogs into the truck to dog test her.

When we met Laurel I realized she had just never gotten a fair chance. She was so excited and didn’t have much manners but she was the sweetest most loving dog I’d ever met! I agreed to take her.

We set up a day to pick her up to take her to a foster me and my sister decided to make a day of it! We picked up Laurel and of course had to get her a pup cup, we then went to garden of the gods and went for a hike! We all loved every second of it. It broke my heart to imagine what this sweet loving gentle giant had been through to lead her to us!

Laurel was doing amazing in foster care and with training and was posted sadly she didn’t get much attention after several posts I had someone reach out to me! I was so excited we went back and forth for a while then we set up a meet! Laurel might get a home!!

The meet went really well me and her foster were both so excited for her! They decided they wanted to adopt her! We told her if it didn’t work out to let us know we’d be happy to take her back! Laurel went to her new home! We got updates for the first few days and everything seemed to be going really well!

A few more went by and I received a call from the shelter my heart sank… Laurel had been picked up by animal control after being found running loose. I instantly reached out to the adopter to find I’d been blocked! My heart sank for Laurel she’d been abandoned yet again.

I started reaching out to the adopter from another number desperately trying to get ahold of her so we could get Laurel out of the shelter since she was technically the owner the shelter had to receive word that she was okay to go with us! Finally she responded and all she could say was I think it’s better you take her back! My heart broke all over again for Laurel. We were back to square one and she had been abandoned and tossed aside yet again. Failed by what was supposed to be her forever family.

We welcomed Laurel back with open arms! She has since then been with us waiting for her time to come to get adopted! We are hopeful that it will be soon!

UPDATE TIME!! 🥳

First off! Thank you everyone so much for all the donations we could not do this without you and so appreciate each and every person that donated and shared the word!

Second! I do apologize for taking longer to get back to everyone I’ve been fighting a nasty cold and been down for the count. I’m working on catching up and trying to get to everyone but still fighting this cold so thank you for your patience!

Third! We placed several animals this week!! Yay!! However as always there is always more reach out to us if you’re interested in adopting or fostering!!❤️🐾

🚨🐈FOSTERS NEEDED!!🐈🚨

We understand fostering is scary and intimidating! But fostering is temporary but makes a life long difference to the animal or animals you take into your home!! Lots of reasons we hear people don’t foster for are…

Too busy… While some of our animals do need a lot of attention lots of them are just happy to have a roof over there head and food in their belly! Most of our cat and kitten needing fosters are super low maintenance!

Can’t afford it… We cover ALL costs!! Don’t worry about spending a thing fostering us free!

My animals won’t like it… You can just have a foster room, level, or bathroom. Most of our animals are super laid back and totally okay with just having a room or a small space to theirselves. You never know when your animal may decide it’s actually okay and they love having new friends!

We have got several adult cats, kittens and mamas, and pregnant moms needing fosters!

There is 2 adult cats needing fosters by tomorrow!

And 6 adults and 10 kittens needing fosters by Friday!!!

Remember fostering though it may be hard is temporary and makes a lifetime of difference to our furry friends!! Reach out today to foster or learn more about fostering!❤️🐾

DONATIONS NEEDED!🦴🐶

UPDATE! We will be at the YMCA in Pueblo at 2pm today for any donation drop offs!

We’ve got 12 more animals coming in in the next two days… and 16 more still waiting on fosters that we need to get into fosters in the next few days!!

We are in desperate need of more fosters as well as donations! A few things we are running out of quick are…
Hard kitten food
Soft food both for dogs and cats
Adult cat food
Cat litter
Puppy chow
Puppy formula

We are also needing to get more toys for all these new little ones! If anyone would be interested in putting on food drives for us we would do greatly appreciate it!

🚨URGENT FOSTERS NEEDED!🚨

Update! Everyone is safe and sound in foster care! The owner placed all but 4 so we took the four and everyone is happy and healthy and getting lots of loves!

There are 9 puppies total!! We need to get them into foster homes within the next few hours!!! We can split them into groups or two or more. We have found a foster for 2 still looking for fosters for the other 7!!!

Does anyone want to help us take some of these little ones in?!? They need placement ASAP if you’d like to help reach out to us!

Sharing is a hugeeeee part of keeping us up and going and helping us rescue more animals! If you can’t adopt or foster but still want to help us out, share our posts! Growing and finding new people to support us is one of the biggest helps!

Meet Olaf!☃️🐾

This adorable little man was abandoned and taken in by a very sweet couple as a little one. He has been an indoor outdoor cat ever since then. Sweet Olaf did get hit by a car at one point and this very kind couple took him to the vet and rehabilitated him and got him all healthy again! He loves head scratches and giving kisses. He absolutely loves cat toys and is looking for a home of his own with endless toys. While he does love to play long naps are never a no from him!

Meet Tabby and Ember!🐈🩷

From their foster:

Tabitha (Tabby) is a small but regal orange tabby.
Quiet and sedate around strangers, she is happy to set her crown and public persona aside and snuggle up for your favorite evening show once she gets to know you. She may even flop and let you pet her belly, fall asleep in your lap, or play with a feather duster or pom pom, so long as no public are watching.

Of course, Tabby is an orange cat and as such, she has her quirks, like washing her paws in her drinking water, and obsessively chasing moths or flies that invade the palace, but don't let her hear you talking about any such silliness, don't say the word "flop" (dignified queens do NOT flop), and definitely don't let on that her hated nickname, "Lady of the Flies" has made its way around the kingdom. She's a private and reserved queen who keeps her affairs separate from those of the kingdom, and endeavors to maintain a certain dignity in her public reputation. Her silliness is something of a state secret, reserved for close friends and human allies.

Ember, (Tabby’s daughter) a plump calico of mostly black, prefers the pirate life. Her favorite perch is on the shoulder of her human, whether said human is otherwise engaged in palace duties or not. Ember pays no mind to proper palace etiquette, and will quickly abandon meetings of state to chase gleefully after anything that moves, particularly the mysterious red star that occasionally moves about the palace. Careless of palace gossip, the princess will gladly flop for a good belly rub or persist in inserting herself between her human and any, admittedly far less important, work they might be performing in search of affection.

She's still a princess though, and often waits to be assisted down from higher perches with the offer of a back or shoulder to jump onto, and will remain on said shoulder until made to get down. Aside from her favored perch on her human's shoulder, Princess Ember earned her Pirate title from her habit of pilfering bounty from unsuspecting palace humans in the form of hair accessories, food, drawstrings, and pens, among others goods. She is sweet, easy-going, affectionate, and always a source of fun and laughter.

We call these girls the twins though they aren’t related both came in around the same time with litters of kittens. These girls are both around 2 years old and have the sweetest most lovable personalities.

They can be adopted together or separately! Both are amazing with other cats, dogs, and kids! They would be amazing family cats!

These girls are kitten free and ready to start their best kittenless lives!

From Jesters current family:

He is a 5 year-old Boxer and PitBull love able cuddly mix with a heart full of love and ! Jester is a rescue pup who has brought so much joy to our family in Windsor, Colorado for the past 3 years. He’s a loyal companion who loves playing with and sleeping with our two boys and enjoys every moment of attention he gets. He is crate trained as well and is easily trusted to stay inside the house unrestricted for as long as 9 hours longest 11 not ideal of course.

Jester would thrive in a home where he can have more space to run and play freely and a fenced in yard. He’s still young and full of puppy energy, so he would benefit from additional training and a home environment that can help him manage his excitement and stay calm. He consistently knows, sit and paw and don’t move and will wait until he does all 3 commands and is told to eat his food before eating any food. He is gentle when taking any food from hands and very gentle with kids.

He understands “gentle, no, focus, stay, sit and paw and come and NOW. He’s not 100 percent on come yet unless hes in a sitting position.

Due to some challenges with the restrictions in our current community, we’re seeking a new home for Jester where he can get the exercise and attention he needs. He’s affectionate, playful, and loves to bond with his people. We want to ensure he has the best life possible. He can sleep alone or with children and families he’s very flexible in this.

This sweet boy hasn’t gotten much attention. His brother and sister will both be going to their forever homes today and he is hoping to find his!

I'm Granite's foster mom and he is goofy, sweet, cuddly, playful, and so much fun.

He greets me every morning at my bedroom door to beg for pets and scratches, and he purrs SO loud! He does the cutest little neck-scrunching face with a half-tilted head when he wants to chase something (he loves grasshoppers! 😂 ), and he loves to sit on my shoulder or right behind my head when I'm in my favorite chair. He's a total sock thief, and will jump in the basket as I pair them and toss them in and try to make off with a pair or two, and then he runs under the table or couch with his pilfered goods and bounds around like a baby antelope playing with it.

He's blessed with super soft fur, and he makes a great foot warmer.

His favorite toys are (aside from socks), the giant pom poms, furry toy mice that rattle or squeak, feathers, and the laser toy. He also adores the faux sheepskin I have on the back of the couch.
He's an absolute sweetheart and he deserves a home where his big personality and even bigger heart are appreciated and cherished. Whoever adopts him will be incredibly lucky to have him.

Mama and babies are happy and healthy! What a perfect little family!! Welcome to the world little ones!😌❤️

ADOPTED!! Meet Lovely!! This sweet girl has had a rough start at life but we are here to give her a happy ending!!! As a rescue founder my absolute favorite thing to do with my rescue dogs is take them on dates! I’m sure we all know what it’s like to feel unwanted. I make sure each and every one of my rescues feels loved and wanted. Our typical doggie date includes pup cups, treat trips, and an adventure of some sorts we go to a park or go on a hike or even just have a play date with some other doggie friends! These dates are the highlight of rescuing to see how happy it makes the dogs reminds me why we do what we do!! Miss Lovely was my most recent date and she was an absolute doll! She was an angel all day and we had a blast! This sweet girl deserves the world and we are going to make sure she gets it!! ADOPTED!! Laurel update!! Miss Laurel has been doing absolutely amazing in her new foster home! She’s been going to training and learning lots!! She’s a super quick learner and everyone at training absolutely loves her. She has been working on all of her manners and listens really well when told no! She is up to date on shots, dewormed, and spayed and looking for her forever home! She does amazing with kids and other dogs as long as they don’t mind playing lots! She’s around 5 years old.
