Our Story
Steel City Alley Cats Coalition is a 100%volunteer based 501(c)3 non-profit Animal Welfare Organization offering numerous programs available to our community of canines and felines for pet owners of companion animals & caregivers of community cats (stray/feral cats) to assist with the challenges they are faced with daily from financial issues and the lack of resources available in our area to meet the great need there is assistance to fill experienced by many pet owners and good samaritans.
We founded SCACC in April 2013 to assist with Pueblo's TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) program for feral cats, and in 2014, we started an emergency Pet Food Pantry to help hungry pets. we registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to offer spay/neuter, vaccinations, transportation assistance, and pet bail bonds services to community pets. And on February 14, 2018, we opened our own cat rescue facility, where we continue to fill the needs in the animal community "one by one until the need is none."
We proudly operate an all safe / no kill rescue shelter facility for felines and have a limited foster home based canine & feline rescue program. 100%volunteer based 501(c)3 non-profit AND WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR FOSTER HEROS TO OPEN THEIR HEARTS & HOMES FOR CATS & KITTENS, OLD, YOUNG, BIG SMALL IN NEED OF A SECOND CHANCE. These cats may be sick, injured and need help to recover. Bottle baby orphans, abandoned, feral babies, ones with social issues, gets anxious, is rebellious, shy, scared and could have one or more of many different types of issues that could hold them back from a successful transition to grow mentally & even possibly spirttually. Its important to always remember everyday is a brand new day thats never been seen before and its up to us what we do with it and make of it. We can embrace it or we can waste it. Its important to make the most out of every day for which we are blessed with and always remember tomorrow will always be a day weve never seen before. We have the power to control every aspect of our lives, just always make the most of what weve got. But dont put your focus on tomorrow and waste today since non of us are promised tomorrow. Any day we wake up on this side of the dirt, well it cant get any better than that. The mission for today is we have 24 hours to accomplish something today that will help make the world a better place for anyone or anything that is not material. Blessings to all for all to be blessed!!
We are always in need of foster heros that are willing to open their hearts and share their homes with our feline friends that are now members of our crew. We get calls daily regarding cats in distress, injured cats, sick cats and cats in need of second chances. Having fosters available allows us to never have to turn any cat or kitten away. With fosters cats that have been at the facility waiting for their chance at the adoption option can get a break from the shelter and get used to the home life rather than shelter life. When these cats are able to transition into foster care it makes room at the shelter for the new comers that will become part of the Steel City Kitty Crew and will never again havevbdcAAAAAAAAAA to do without love and care for the remainder of their lives whether t5TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRz&hey are at the shelter or in their new home living the viva loca.
