Where it all began and where I’m hoping to go.

My love for Rat Terriers has grown over the years. Ever since the moment I laid eyes on Mimi, my first brindle rescue from the Brazoria County SPCA, Sadly, I was only able to share two wonderful years with Mimi before she suffered a stroke and passed. That loss led me on a life quest to fill the void of that heartache. Over time I realized my desire to share my love of the Rat Terrier breed, exclusively concentrating on the brindle coloring, in honor of my cherished Mimi. Since then, my focus and priority has been in a breeding program that works, being a responsible breeder and an advocate towards producing exclusive, limited, healthy brindle puppies. This program is unique and does not give rights to new owners for breeding. I am interested only in working with individuals readily agreeable to providing or placing puppies in loving homes. Under no circumstances are puppies to be sold to breeders. I have a strict spay/neuter contract for anyone interested in a puppy. All puppies, minimum age of 10 months must be spayed/neutered with proof of procedure sent back to me that was performed by a licensed Veterinarian. If not it will be considered a breach of contract that will have a monetary consequence. In view of the fact that this is an exclusive program breeding healthy, brindle puppies, I require all prospective owners complete an application and be approved. Once approved, a deposit in the amount of $100 must be paid in order to move forward. Genetic testing is performed on all “moms” and “dads” and copies of genetic testing reports will be provided with registrations. At this time I have two brindle females, “Coco,” the matriarch, her daughter “Tahiti,” and a male “Trip,” who is a Blue Tri. As you see, I do not have a stable full of breeding dogs, this is not a puppy mill, but a limited select program. I am employed at a local Veterinary Clinic and as a result provide all my pets with the highest quality care available. In addition, all my pets are raised indoors, inside my home. As a result, I will require that applicants adhere to this as well. Puppies are $700 and are of the highest quality. Exceptional quality is not expensive, it is priceless. The price guarantees a one-of-a-kind line that will never be shared or duplicated with another breeder. In addition, the purchase fee also includes all applicable vaccinations, worming, puppy kit and comprehensive examinations from a licensed Veterinarian, UKCI registration and genetic testing for diseases that are susceptible to the Rat Terrier breed such as Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) as well as regular exercise and good nutrition. I will always be transparent to any individual willing to pay for one of my Rat Terrier brindle puppies. I will also Always take back a puppy/dog if a life changing circumstance happens to either re-home or live out their days here. A quality puppy begins long before their parents are bred as they both require constant devoted care, conditioning and love, in order to produce the best offspring.
