We not only take in parrots for whatever reason and find appropriate, loving homes for them. We provide community education at local adoption events. We will also make presentations to organizations and clubs upon request. Parrot Outreach Society will help families in temporary crisis or need of food to enable them to keep their parrot. Parrot Outreach Society will be closed until Tuesday August 6th for renovations and repairs. Call the office for curbside boarder pick up and drop off. Office staff will be available by phone during normal business hours. We apologize for the inconvenience however we strive daily for the betterment of our rescue and the birds that reside with us. Today was a good day. Our volunteer Jackie was transporting her bird Walter yesterday for boarding when he got out and flew away. She searched for him endlessly. These good Samaritans were in their yard today where they came to find a friendly parrot in search of a human. They ended up calling us and bringing him in. When they arrived, we immediately realized it was Walter and called Jackie with the good news. What an amazing reunion.

Do you know it costs Parrot Outreach over $13,000 a month for normal monthly expenses? This includes rent, power, security, internet, and maintenance, but doesn't include food, toys, water filters, nuts, office supplies, vet bills, or disease testing. We need help! Not just today, but on a regular and consistent basis. We need help every month in order to provide the best care possible. Those who visit us know that we strive for excellence and work diligently to make sure each bird in our care receives everything they need. We are reaching out to our huge community of FaceBook . With 16k of you, we could really make a difference in the care we can give these birds. If even 15% of our followers signed up to donate $10 a month on a recurring basis, we could cover all regular expenses as well as emergency costs that arise way too often. Just $10 a month could make the difference between having to choose between paying utility bills or buying nuts or toys for the month. For the cost of a Starbucks coffee, you could make a huge difference in the life of one of these birds that did not ask to be here. Help us help them.
