Meet Ivy, the Pomsky Princess!

This adorable 10-month-old pup is currently in our 2-week board and train program, and we're having a doggone good time helping her overcome a few pesky habits!

Ivy's working on:

-Calmly greeting friends without excited peeing (because accidents happen, but we're fixing that!)

-Quieting down and listening instead of barking at every little thing (because mama needs some peace and quiet!)

-Loving her crate (because it's her own cozy little den!)

-Walking nicely on a leash and taking in the sights (because the world is her playground!)

-Mastering basic commands and becoming a well-behaved pup (because good girls get treats!)

Ivy's a smart cookie and is picking up everything in no time! We're so proud of her progress and can't wait to see her shine!

Socialization Saturday: Gilchrist Park to Punta Gorda Farmers Market Walk

As we stroll through the scenic route, we'll be socializing with our furry friends in a fun and engaging way. Socialization is crucial for dogs, even during the hot summer months, and this walk is a great opportunity to provide them with new experiences and interactions.

Meet the absolute cutest 4 month old Italian Greyhound Puppy ever, Marley!

We are completely smitten with this adorable Italian Greyhound puppy who's currently in our two-week board and train program! He's here to work on his separation anxiety, and let us tell you, he's making sure everyone knows he's present and wants attention!

This little bundle of joy screams his head off when he's feeling anxious, but don't worry, we're working hard to help him feel more secure and calm when left alone. And when he's not "singing" his heart out, he's busy learning basic obedience, potty training, and socialization skills like a pro!

But what really sets this pup apart is his cuddle bug personality! He loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite humans! And did we mention he's incredibly smart and learning quickly? This little guy is a sponge for knowledge and is soaking up everything we're teaching him!

We're so proud of the progress he's making and can't wait to see him thrive when he goes back home to his family where his sister has already graduated our program! Keep up the good work, little one!

Meet the newest member of our board and train program - the adorable 7-year-old Aussie doodle, Maggie!

This sweet girl has been feeling like she needs to be in charge on walks with her parents, leading to reactivity and stress for all. But don't worry, we've got a plan to help her learn leadership skills, build confidence, and understand that she doesn't have to be in control all the time!

Our expert trainers will work with her to develop good walking manners, calm behavior, and a sense of trust in her parents. And then, we'll teach her parents how to take the lead (literally!) on walks and outings, so they can enjoy quality time together without the stress of reactivity.

We're excited to see this girl blossom and become the well-behaved, confident companion we all know she can be!

Summer is here 🌞 enjoy but be safe!

Hot Asphalt Can Burn Your Dog's Paws!

As the weather heats up, it's important to remember to protect your furry friend's paws from hot asphalt. Burns can be painful and serious, so take precautions:

🐾 Walk your dog on grass or trails instead of hot pavement
🐾 Avoid walking your dog during the hottest part of the day (usually between 11am-3pm)
🐾 Use dog booties or paw protection to shield their paws
🐾 Check the temperature of the pavement with your hand before letting your dog walk on it

Rainy Days and Pup-Brain Blues?

Don't let the rain get you down! Inclement weather doesn't have to mean a boring day for your pup. We’ve got some great ideas to keep your furry friend mentally stimulated and engaged indoors:

Indoor Obstacle Course: Set up a mini obstacle course using household items like couch cushions, chairs, and tunnels.

Hide-and-Seek: Hide treats, toys, or even yourself to keep your pup's nose and brain busy.
