Percy & Cocoa
Percy, a male Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Cocoa, a female shepherd mix, assist in each other’s training today. Percy is with Sit Stay and is in the middle of his 16-day Board & Train at Greensburg Bed & Biscuit . Cocoa previously completed a 5 day Mini Jump board and train. Percy has gotten extremely excited when other dogs are present, we have made huge progress. Cocoa before her mini jump would lung and drag her mom all over.
Super proud of everyone today!!
Hattie- Assessment Day
Hattie rocking the place cot, our plank, and tire jump. She is still very young, under a year, and we will continue to work on her confidence, attention and obedience as she matures.
CGC Class Week 3 at Greensburg Bed & Biscuit
CGC took it up a notch tonight! We worked with all the dogs being side by side. We ended the class with dogs and handlers weaving through each other!! Super impressed with the progress and confidence these teams are building. Onto week 4!
Cocoa- e collar off leash
Cocoa is staying at Greensburg Bed & Biscuit for a few days, so let’s continue to build her skills!
Penny & Hana Social Graces
Penny, Copenhagen and Hana working today. This has been a big week for all our training dogs. Emily Novotny has been such a great addition to the Greensburg Bed & Biscuit training team. Keep up the good work ladies!
Cocoa- Mini Jump- Day 6
Cocoa came to Sit Stay to learn how to walk on a loose leash, had extreme dog/animal reactivity, and to receive intro to e collar. She has excelled over the past few days, today we went full speed and introduced another dog in the training room with her. The beauty of e collar conditioning, attention and focus on the handler and willingness to work! Looking forward to her go home lesson tomorrow.
Cocoa- 5 day Mini Jump
Cocoa working hard today! We were inside, outside, hallway, reception… all over the Greensburg facility. Her leash walking and focus have made huge progress! She will be with Sit Stay and Greensburg Bed & Biscuit until Friday. Keep at it big girl 🐾
Paper plate recall
Paper Plate Recall during our Saturday Advanced Class! A great way to practice sending the dog away from the handler and then recalling back to front position.
Newton, Week 2 Social Graces
Today was Newton’s turn with the cones and another dog present. Remi, a female Aussie helped out. Both dogs are under a year old , very pleased with their focus.
Ruger, Week 2 Social Graces
Ruger is on his second week of the Social Graces program at Greensburg Bed & Biscuit. His leash control has improved and we use the cones to practice direction changes. Three cones can create diversity in training. From serpentines, figure 8s and, what I call the “paper clip”.
Cubby
Cubby is with Sit Stay and Greensburg Bed & Biscuit for our 16 Day Board & Train. We are expanding his obedience and guiding him with his impulse control. As we moved into faster pace his excitement increased. Though excited we guide him into still keeping all four paws from jumping up, progress. A proper greeting is being worked on by every time we enter his kennel, there are all four paws down and a calm exit and through any doorway. Distractions will increase this week.
He did an excellent job today watching where Meg was and seemed to enjoy working.
Koda
Koda loves to work!! She has been with us to learn how to be comfortable in a kennel and work on obedience. We used a variety of commands today to use diversity in her training. The duration in the crate will also increase as the week goes on.
