🎆 4th of July Hazards to Watch Out for Your Pets 🎇
As you gear up for Independence Day celebrations, here are some hazards to be mindful of to keep your pets safe and happy:

🐾 Fireworks: The loud noises and bright flashes can be terrifying for pets, potentially causing them to run away or become anxious. Keep them indoors and create a safe, quiet space for them to retreat to.

🐾 Food and Drinks: Many festive foods and drinks can be harmful to pets. Avoid giving them table scraps, especially those containing chocolate, alcohol, onions, garlic, grapes, and raisins.

🐾 Glow Sticks and Jewelry: While fun for humans, these can be toxic if chewed on or ingested by pets. Keep them out of reach.

🐾 Hot Weather: If you’re spending time outdoors, ensure your pets have plenty of water and a shaded area to avoid overheating or dehydration.

🐾 Open Flames: Grills, fire pits, and citronella candles can be hazardous. Keep pets away from open flames to prevent burns or accidental ingestion of toxic substances.

🐾 Decorations: Flags, streamers, and other decorations can pose choking hazards or cause intestinal blockages if ingested. Keep decorations out of reach.

By being mindful of these hazards, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable 4th of July for you and your furry companions!

🎆🇺🇸 4th of July Pet Safety Tips! 🇺🇸🎆

The 4th of July is a time for celebration, but the fireworks can be stressful for our furry friends. Here are some tips to keep your pets calm and safe:

🐶 Create a Safe Space: Set up a quiet, cozy area for your pet to retreat to during fireworks.

🐱 Close Windows and Curtains: This helps muffle the noise and block out the bright flashes.

🐶 Provide Distractions: Give your pet their favorite toys or a treat to keep them occupied.

🐱 Use Calming Aids: Consider pet-safe calming products like anxiety wraps or pheromone diffusers.

🐶 Stay Calm: Your pet can pick up on your emotions, so try to remain calm and relaxed.

🐱 Update ID Tags and Microchips: Ensure your pet's identification is up to date in case they get scared and run off.

Reach out to us if you need any guidance or a prescription for calming aids. We are here to help. Let's make this 4th of July enjoyable for everyone, including our beloved pets! ❤️

Happy Holidays to our valued clients and pet parents! As we approach the end of the year, we would like to express our deep appreciation for all of you – the clients and pets we’re proud to serve.

We have experienced much transition here at All Creatures Animal Hospital recently. As many of you are aware, Dr. Wiltzius, Dr. Hart, and Dr. Salmon have decided to move on to other adventures. With this, we are more limited in our availability to see as many pets as we used to or would like to. We are actively searching for talented veterinarians and currently have relief veterinarians helping us in the meantime, so you may see some new faces here. While we are working through this transition, we ask for a little grace, patience, and understanding.

We truly love this community and will continue to serve to the best of our ability. Thank you for everyone’s kind words and support during this time as we strive to remain the trusted veterinary hospital for your pets’ needs.
