We are a nonprofit rescue group dedicated to finding permanent homes for homeless dogs and cats in Pierce County, Washington. We do not operate out of a shelter, instead we rely on our network of foster homes to care for our animals until they are adopted. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
The first step, if you are interested in adopting one of our dogs or cats, is to fill out and submit an adoption applicat

ion. A volunteer will contact you after it has been submitted to speak with you about your application and about the pet you are applying to adopt. If you rent, we require your landlord's permission to adopt a dog or a cat. We require a completely fenced yard to adopt a dog. All adopters must agree to and sign an adoption agreement. We do not adopt out pets as gifts unless the recipient is there to pick out the pet themselves. All pets are spayed or neutered before adoption. ADOPTION FEES
Kittens & adult cats are $175.00

Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, tested for FIV and Felv, and are given the vaccinations for Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici Virus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). Dogs and Puppies are $300.00 with an additional $50.00 obedience training refundable deposit. When you complete an accredited obedience class with your new dog we will send you back the $50.00 deposit. Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites, and are given the vaccinations for Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies (If 4 months of age or older). ADOPTION EVENT LOCATIONS
Our rescue partners with the Petsmart in Sunrise Village located at:

Puyallup, WA 98373. Our adoptable cats and kittens are at the Sunrise PetSmart every day for potential adopters to meet with and visit in the cat room. Some of our adoptable cats stay in foster homes and so they are not available for viewing at PetSmart. Please check our Petfinder Pet List to see all of our cats that are available for adoption. Our adoptable dogs are in foster homes and they are brought to adoption events which are normally on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at the Sunrise PetSmart. Dogs are also brought to PetSmart's special adoption events. Please contact us and not PetSmart to verify adoption status if you are interested in a specific pet. VOLUNTEERING
We are a foster home-based adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We rely on our network of volunteers to care for the animals until they find permanent homes. Ryder & Beka are a bonded brother/sister pair and would like to be adopted together!

Ryder is a 10 month old neutered male, shorthair brown tabby kitten.

Ryder is a reserved, yet confident little guy. He was slow to warm up in his foster home, but once he did, his sweet and affectionate personality really warmed our hearts. He is pretty quiet and keeps to himself for the most part, but finds moments to get attention from his siblings and foster family.

Ryder loves sitting at the top of his cat tree and enjoying a sunny windowsill. He also loves getting into mischief and exploring his foster home with his sister.

Ryder does not mind being held for short periods of time. He is not a big fan of snuggling with his foster family, but will approach for the occasional cuddle time. He enjoys curling up with one or more of his siblings, however! Ryder rarely sits in his foster people’s laps, however he is not necessarily opposed to it. Ryder is pretty low energy, but when his siblings are ready for a game of chase he is always up for it!

Ryder loves competing with his siblings for the feather wand. He also likes chasing toy balls or toy mice around the room. Anything that can be a toy is his favorite thing to play with his siblings! He also enjoys the ball track.

Ryder dislikes getting his nails trimmed, but has been gracious with his foster family in their efforts anyways.

Ryder has not met other adult cats yet, however, he gets along really well with his litter mates and would likely enjoy meeting another adult cat.

Ryder was really comfortable when he met the dog in his foster home. He was not really bothered about the dog and is used to hearing/smelling them regularly in his foster home.

Ryder did very well with the children in his foster home, ages 6 & 10 years old. He is pretty unphased at their antics and is pretty good about giving himself space when he wants it. Kids in his home should be aware of this and respectful of his space.

Ryder would like a home that offers space for him to play and relax. He will do pretty good in a home with lots going on as long as he has his own spaces to unwind. Ryder would love to be adopted with his sister, Beka! They play, cuddle and chase after toys together! Ryder is happier with having a sibling to keep him company!

Beka is a 10 month old, spayed female, shorthair brown tabby kitten.

Beka is a sweet little girl and even though she is smaller than her siblings, she loves to play and compete for the best toys with them. She is very sweet little explorer!

Beka is a little skittish, but is also pretty curious. She has been feeling more confident as she gets older and more familiar with her surroundings. She loves finding cozy spots to nap in and curl up with her siblings.

Beka is sometimes uncomfortable being picked up, she will curl up tightly if she wants to be put down. Beka doesn't like being held a lot, but with careful attention to her body language, however there are times when she doesn't mind and enjoys the attention. She likes to be snuggled on her own terms.

Beka occasionally will find her way to people’s laps for snuggles and pets. She is especially motivated with toys and treats!

Beka is fairly low energy, reserving that for playtime. She is pretty reserved, so her energy comes out typically when she wants to play or wrestles with her siblings. Beka likes to show off her skills with the feather wand, run around with her siblings, chase toy balls, and "hunt" toy mice. She likes lots of toys but especially enjoys carrying toy mice or chasing toys that are thrown.

Beka has not met other adult cats yet. Her reserved nature may mean that she is slower to warm up to another cat.

Beka has done pretty well meeting dogs in the foster home. She was cautious but with a respectful dog and slow introductions on her own terms.

Beka is good with kids aged 6 & 10 years old. Beka liked the attention that the children gave her and really appreciates children that are respectful and aware of her body language that indicates she is done with the visit.

Beka would do well in a home with quiet spaces for her to find when she wants to relax. She would also do well with a family that will continue to nurture her curiosity and encourage her to feel comfortable exploring and playing. She loves her siblings and would likely really enjoy being adopted with her twin brother, Ryder!

The adoption fee is $350 for this wonderful pair!

Rosie is a 6 month old, spayed female, shorthair brown marbled tabby kitten.

Rosie is a confident, playful, curious kitten!

She does not like fast movements from people, she needs a little time to warm up to any new situation. She will snuggle after she learns to trust you and appreciates belly rubs!!!

She enjoys being held and playing with her littermates. They have all been adopted and Rosie wants another cat for a buddy. She is very affectionate and friendly with other cats. If you have a cat needing a buddy, Rosie might be your match!

She is very active and loves to play with plush balls, and dangler toys. She also chases the laser light.

Rosie has met cat-friendly dogs in her foster home and she has done great with them. She would do well in a home with a gentle, cat-loving dog.

She would do best in a home with older children who are respectful and gentle.

Meet Bandit: Your Future Best Friend!

Hello there, friend! I’m Bandit, a spirited 1-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of love and a boundless zest for life. At 50+ pounds, I’m a lively and athletic pup who loves to run, jump, and, when it’s time to wind down, snuggle up on the couch and cover you in kisses.

I’m currently polishing up my obedience skills and have mastered commands like heel, sit, down, up, and walking with a loose leash. I’m very smart and food-motivated, so if you’ve got treats, I’m eager to learn more commands and tricks!

Though I’m crate trained and ready for bedtime, I’d prefer to be where my people are. I can get a bit anxious when left alone, so I’m looking for a home where I can be a loyal companion throughout the day. I’m not the best with small children, so I’d do best in an adult household or with dog-savvy teenagers who understand when I need space.

When it comes to other dogs, I’m a playful spirit who loves to roughhouse, but I can be a bit reactive around unfamiliar pups. I’d thrive with a large dog friend who enjoys a good romp and shares my love for energetic play.

I haven’t met any cats yet, but given my enthusiasm for chasing squirrels and other small critters, I might not be their biggest fan.

Flynn is a 6 and a half year old, shorthair, orange tabby neutered male cat.

Flynn is a shy boy who likes to nap, lounge in his cat tree and watch the world from his window perch.

He is skiddish and needs a calm, low traffic home that is consistence and easy for him to predict. He does not like loud noises.

Although Flynn does not like to be held or snuggled, he does like to sleep on your legs while you are relaxing on the couch.

Flynn likes to play, but he is very chill and seems to be low energy.
His favorite toys are small items that he can bat around like zip ties and he will go after the laser light.

Flynn is good with other adult cats and kittens once he gets the time to know them. He enjoys grooming them.

Flynn would do best in a home without dogs and small children.

He had his leg amputated at 4 months old but that doesn’t stop him from fully enjoying life. He is silly, sweet, loves to play, and go on walks. He is active and would love to have a friend at home, dog or human. He is great with other dogs, and is interested in cats, but hasn’t been around them much. He is good with kids.
