Filet Mignon Sauce Recipe
Savor the luxury at home with our Filet Mignon in Cognac Peppercorn Sauce recipe. Perfect for Mother's Day or when you just want to indulge! 🥩✨
Filet Mignon with Cognac Peppercorn Sauce
Ingredients:
2(4 to 6 ounces each) Filet Mignon steaks (about 1.5
-inches thick)
1 Tbsp. mixed peppercorns
1/2 tsp. salt
Olive oil cooking spray
2 Tosp. unsalted butter, and extra Cognac Peppercorn Sauce:
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
2 small shallots or one small onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup Cognac
1 teaspoon peppercorns
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 Tosp. or more beef stock (optional)
Sea salt to taste
Directions:
Scatter some salt and peppercorns onto each steak, press down on the peppercorns to adhere well, and set aside at room temperature for about 20 to 30 minutes.
For the cream sauce, in a medium-sized non-stick skillet, add the butter and shallots, sauteing for 2 to 3 minutes until softened. Stir in Cognac and one teaspoon of peppercorns, simmering until reduced, about 1 to 2 minutes.
Add heavy cream, simmering on the lowest heat and stirring until thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes, being careful not to boil. Turn off the heat; the sauce will continue to thicken. If too thick, stir in beef stock to reach desired consistency.
Heat a large non-stick or cast-iron skillet over high heat, spray with cooking spray, and add steaks, peppercorn side down. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, adding butter on top after flipping.
Remove steaks, placing them on a warm platter. Spoon peppercorn sauce over the steaks. Serve immediately.
Prep Time: 30 minutes | Cooking Time: 10 minutes | Total
Time: 40 minutes

The tentative hours we are looking for are Wednesday 3pm-7:30pm
Saturdays 3pm-8:00pm
Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm
Fill in work where needed

We would like someone who is able to drive or has very reliable transportation. Responsibilities would include customer service, register work and restocking shelves and meat cases. We would prefer someone who has the potential to work past the summer. We are not looking for temporary help. You will also need to be comfortable being in the store by yourself as we only have 1 person working at a time since we are a small operation.
