🌟🐴Attention Teachers, Schools, Community Organizations working with At-Risk Populations, etc.!! 🐴🌟

We have opened up our 2026 Calendar to start scheduling field trips and extended week group programming! Examples of previous programs run, but is not limited to: Field trips for learning support classrooms, folks from retirement communities with age-related diagnoses, and at-risk youth; group programming for pediatric oncology patients and survivors, school groups, and families of kiddos with special needs who are adopted/in foster care.

What all is involved in these programs?

Field Trips:
-1-2 hour options of both mounted & unmounted horsemanship skills for groups of 5-30 participants. Pricing varies on the number of participants, length of time of the field trip, and if riding is involved.

Specialized Group Programming:
-Curriculum is developed for a four-eight week extended programs (2 hours each week) for groups of 5-12 individuals. Both mounted & unmounted horsemanship skills are progressively worked on week after week. Pricing varies dependent on the number of participants, number of weeks, and if riding is involved.

For both options, we tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of the group - physically, emotionally, behaviorally, and intellectually. To inquire, please reach out to Danielle at (717)945-2799 or by emailing [email protected].

Folks often ask how payment for services works in our program. Since we are unable to accept insurance, most participants pay for the services out-of-pocket, with some assistance from Bridlepath's financial aid/scholarship fund, county funding, grants, and community donors. We strive to keep our services as affordable as possible for our incredible participants, so we rely heavily on monthly & one-time donations, grants, and sponsorships.

Our sponsorships include:
-Sponsorship of a participant for 25 sessions (half a year of services - $2,500)
-Sponsorship of a horse (All of our horses are currently sponsored!)
-Business Banner Sponsorship (your business banner is displayed facing our outdoor riding arena for 1 year - $1,200 / year)
-Sponsorship of an Arena Brass Plate (in loving memory or honor of a loved one, pet, in support of commemoration events, etc. - $250)

So why are we unable to accept insurance? Because therapeutic horsemanship & riding is considered a therapeutic activity and not therapy. What is the difference? Therapeutic horsemanship & riding is facilitated by our certified Therapeutic Horsemanship Instructors who have gone through the Council of Education & Certification of Therapeutic Horsemanship (CECTH) or PATH International certification courses. Our program also holds center accreditations with these organizations. Our job is to facilitate a therapeutic environment where we teach horsemanship and riding skills in ways that benefit an individual's diagnosis. We do NOT treat and diagnose as a licensed medical professional - this is where hippotherapy (performed by a licensed PT or OT) and psychotherapy (performed by a licensed psychologist) come into play. There are benefits to all of the above types of therapies in the equine therapy industry; our specialty just falls under the therapeutic horsemanship!

🐴One of our favorite things about therapeutic horsemanship is watching our participants grow in their independence, which can look different for everybody! We have so much pride in our participants (and our horses) when we see their skills grow both in the saddle and on the ground. Check out these ladies leading their horses independently in a group environment, taking note of their horse's body language to ensure safe & proper ring etiquette! 👏

Want to make an impact on our participant's continued progression? Consider our 501(c)3 therapeutic horsemanship program for a monthly donation, or join us for on Friday, November 21st for Lancaster County's largest day of giving. Your support does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you immensely!

Thank you Hannah King Music for sharing your singing, songwriting, and fiddle playing talent with us at our Fall Benefit Concert last Friday! This was our first time running an event like this, and our hearts were so full by the end of the evening.

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful evening - thank you also to Lee & Kris Kauffman for letting us utilize this beautiful space, to Morning Star Counseling, LLC for sponsoring our event, and to all who were in attendance for your support of Bridlepath. Your continued support is what helps us to provide therapeutic horsemanship services to individuals with special needs at an affordable cost, and at the highest quality possible.
