Welcome to the herd, Etch (short for Etch a Sketch)!! Etch is a 13 year old, 14 hand POA gelding, and we are very excited to have him as a member of our team!

Today was a hoot of a day in our first summer day camp of the season! Weather was perfect, lots of smiles and laughter were had, and our horses thoroughly enjoyed the tasty summer treats made with love from the participants. Excited for the remainder of our camp programs this summer!

Last evening we wrapped up our pilot program, Unbridled Courage, which is a support group for families of adopted/foster care kiddos utilizing therapeutic horsemanship! Facilitated by instructor, Natalie, activities during this 4-week program included team building exercises with parents, developing riding skills, learning unmounted horsemanship skills, and more. Well done everyone!! We look forward to running this program again in the future; stay tuned for more details.

This was a very successful event, and we are so grateful for the community's support of our therapeutic horsemanship program!

Hello horse friends! We are looking to add another draft, draft cross, or stocky quarter horse to our nonprofit therapeutic horsemanship program! We serve individuals with special needs with a variety of diagnoses. Some of our participants need a leader and two sidewalkers, while others are learning to WTC independently. Because we try to give our horses variety in their lessons, we ask that our horses are able to do both leadline and beginner independent lessons. Our horses are turned out 24/7 with the option for a dry lot should there be any metabolic issues. We utilize a variety of unmounted and mounted activities in both the arena and trail, as well.

What we're looking for:
-15H-16H stocky build, nongaited
-ages 8-18 years old
-Gelding or Mare so long as the mare would do well in a mixed herd
-Within 2-3 hours of Quarryville, PA as we would want to come meet/ride the horse
-Sound at the WTC
-Some maintenance is okay
-Tolerant of a variety of noises/movements
-More whoa than go
-We can do either a care lease or purchase for the right fit

We don't know about you all, but we are pumped to dump our never ending horse manure into our brand new manure storage building! We even had a ribbon cutting ceremony! ✂

Thank you to Lee Kauffman for organizing this project and to King Construction for building! No more long hauls to our previous manure pile, especially on those inclement weather days. This building allows us to empty our muck tubs from the top and then the front side of the building is easy access for equipment to rotate and eventually pull out the manure for spreading. What more excitement could you ask for going into the weekend?? 💩

Our week is off to a great start! These warm, sunny days with our incredible participants make us extra thankful that we get to do this week after week. Thank you to our amazing volunteers, program horses, and community support for making it all possible!

Thank you to all who participated in our second annual Bridlepath Race Day this past Saturday! The rain didn't seem to hold anyone back, and we are so grateful for the community's support. Enjoy these pictures - more to come! Well done everyone!
