I was invited to speak at Joe Walker middle school’s career day today!

It was such an awesome experience! Most people don’t realize how much goes into ethical breeding. While you don’t have to have a college degree. There’s so much learning and dedication that goes into being a good breeder. Self learning, having excellent mentors, awesome veterinarian support, etc.

My goal in coming to career day is not create a bunch of backyard breeders. I told them it is not a very stable job, but it is one to be passionate about. I used the time to educate about the dangers of unethical breeding practices, and some of its effects over time. I discussed with students about animal husbandry in general, and how we use it in society today, even on a large (macro)scale.

I took the time to encourage the students to look at the things they are passionate about. For example, I wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up, but instead I took a different path, but I’m still able to do something that I love.

Ultimately do things that bring you joy, and better yet do things that also bring others joy!

Lainey is headed to her forever home in Utah today! We were blessed to have her with us an extra 2 months for potty training. We have loved having her and will miss her dearly, but we are also jealous because she is going to best home ever!!!

Thankfully she going to family so hopefully we can stop by in the future to get our favorite “Lainey Snuggles”.

I’m so excited to announce the upcoming arrival of this sweet boy, an AKC toy poodle from Russian Champion lines, to our program. I fly out next weekend to pick him up, and I’ll take you along that journey as I meet him for the first time.

He’s estimated to be 8lbs full grown, is a carrier of intense red coloring, and Irish spotting. We know he’s genetically clear, but he will also go through thorough health testing to ensure that he will produce top-quality puppies in the future.

We are still looking for his perfect names. Both his common/everyday name and his fancy registered name. List your ideas below⬇️🤔💭

Update: Hank has found his forever family!!!❤️😊

Due to no fault of his own, Hank is available again.

Hank is a special boy! He is the second smallest of the entire litter, and is estimated to be 20lbs as an adult. His coat is a straighter wavy coat, and he has a very teddy bear look to him as you can tell. 🧸 🐶

Hank is a gentle spirit. He loves snuggles by adults and children alike. He loves to play and especially enjoys snack-seeking activities.

Update: Cash has found his forever 🏠❤️🥰

How is this little guy still available?!?!

Here are some of Cash’s stats-

He is almost 4 pounds and is estimated to be between 25 and 30 pounds full grown.

Cash is a very playful boy, but is also be very gentle when he’s being held and loved on. He would make a great family pet, especially with children in the house.

Although Cash is currently presenting as a black and white parti goldendoodle, it is highly likely that his black spots will turn to Silver. His mother is a silver goldendoodle and it likely the he may have inherited that from her. Silver goldendoodles are unique, and considered rare, in terms of goldendoodle coat colors. We will start to see that change happen about 10weeks old! It’s so fun to watch!

Cash is an F1b Mini Goldendoodle and is charting to be 25 lbs full grown.

He a bright, very friendly puppy. He is very confident and is often one of the first puppies to play with new toys. He likes companionship, and constantly has a buddy with him, probably because he is always having fun.

He is a great little buddy that will keep a smile of your face with his playfulness.

Luke is an F1b Mini Goldendoodle and is charting to about 23lbs full grown.

His coat is black now but he carries the silvering gene from his beautiful mama. His coat will likely start changing at 8 weeks. It’s so fun to see!!!

Luke is a sweetheart all around. After he’s finished playing, he can relax anywhere. Even while his siblings chaos is still happening around him. He doesn’t mind, and he’s fully capable of curling up and taking a nap. Then when he’s ready to play again, it’s lots of hopping and wrestling around. He loves to be held and give lots of licks and kisses. My children love to take him around like a little sidekick, and he is happy to tagalong with all their adventures. He would make a great family pet!

Puppy care is a family affair in our household, and with 5 children we have lots of helpers.

It is also something that sets our program apart from many others. The amount of socialization and handling that our puppies receive.

Our goal is to produce puppies that are happy, healthy, and confident in any environment. Dogs that lack sufficient enrichment and socialization often suffer from anxiety and can become easily stressed. By keeping our puppies engaged and regularly handled, we are preparing them to be happy and fulfilled with their forever families.

We are couple days early for our 5 week photos, but the were too cute not to share!

The puppies of entered such a fun stage. Now that they have teeth, everyone is finding things to chew on: toys, blankets and each other. In between their many naps, it’s a constant playground.

We did a thing yesterday…….We finally made it outside. It was nice for .02 seconds, but we took full advantage. All of the puppies loved it.

The puppies are getting an upgrade! As they grow they need more space than a whelping box. They now have 2x’s the space in their new pen.

Can you spot another exciting addition, the CRATE! We like to slowly introduce the crate into their normal space. That keeps it neutral for now. Soon we will give treats while in the crate with the door closed. We want it to be a super happy and positive place for them to be.

Wow, time flies! It’s already been four weeks since the country artist litter was born and they’re growing up so quickly. They’re all starting to eat solids and their teeth are coming through. Plus, they’re walking more steadily these days.
