Every day, our hospital cares for pets who need blood or plasma transfusions to survive. Pets facing trauma, anemia, or bleeding disorders often rely on the kindness of donor pets to get a second chance at life.

Your dog or cat may be able to help save a life! ARISE Veterinary Center offers a pet blood donor program for healthy, eligible pets. By becoming a donor, your pet can make a meaningful difference for another furry friend in need.

✨ A Triumph Tail: One Dog’s Journey Through PLE ✨

In 2022, a brave canine named Chloe Elizabeth began a journey that would test courage, patience, and the incredible power of veterinary teamwork. After weeks of unexplained weight loss, digestive issues, and fatigue, Chloe was diagnosed with Protein-Losing Enteropathy (PLE), a condition that can be as complex as it is daunting.

But from the very beginning, Chloe refused to give up.

With the guidance of a dedicated internal medicine team, a long-term treatment plan began. Year after year, Chloe showed up for every echocardiogram, every abdominal ultrasound, and every check-in appointment with unwavering spirit. Each visit provided new insights, new adjustments, and new hope.

Despite the challenges, special diets, medications, flare-ups, and long days at the clinic, Chloe met every milestone with tail wags and determination. There were small victories at first: stabilized protein levels, improved appetite, and more energy on daily walks. Over time, those small victories grew into a full-fledged success story.

Now, several years after that first fearful diagnosis, Chloe continues to thrive. Routine annual imaging helps ensure the heart and abdomen stay healthy, and consistent follow-ups with the internal medicine team keep the condition well managed. What once felt uncertain has become a testament to perseverance and the power of comprehensive care.

Today, Chloe stands as a shining example of what’s possible for dogs with PLE, proof that with dedication, teamwork, and a whole lot of love, even the toughest diagnoses can turn into stories of strength and survival.

And through it all, one thing has remained constant: Chloe’s wagging tail, reminding everyone that hope is always worth holding onto. 🐾💛

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our Lost Our Home Pet Rescue giveback event during November and December; it was an amazing success! 🥳

Thanks to the incredible generosity of teams from AVECCC Gilbert (including
building partners), AVECCC Peoria (including building partners), AVECCC Buckeye, ARISE Vet Center, and Ingleside Animal Hospital, we filled three cars with donations 🚗🚙🚐!

All donations were delivered to Lost Our Home on Tuesday, December 16th.

Senior pets do best when their environment supports aging gracefully. Add padded bedding, use rugs for traction, keep food and water elevated, and maintain consistent routines. If your pet hesitates with stairs, struggles to rise, or avoids activities they once enjoyed, it’s not “just age.” We can evaluate mobility and recommend treatments that genuinely improve comfort.
