Rip is on his 9th private lesson and he has come such a long way since he started!
He couldn’t hold focus and was very jumpy with noises when out and about and would react to dogs. Now his focus and confidence has improved so much and he is able to be reliable in public!
Board & trains, Maisy, Daisy, Rip, & Monkey came to help out and get their own training and exposure in 😎
Bourbon & Bosco were the latest of our board & trains to graduate and head back home to continue their training journey!
Bourbon the Great Dane puppy was here for 4 weeks to build confidence in new situations, walk better on leash, and to learn how to control his impulses/excitement. He is a dog with a great disposition and attitude, he just needed specific guidance to be a more well rounded adolescent dog!
Bosco was here for 3 weeks and required a little more focus on his overall confidence and exposure to new things. Aside from that, learning how to put his energy into more desirable behaviors versus jumping, nipping, treating his house and family like his own play toys.
Both are still a work in progress as we help coach their families on how to get the same results. Remember, it doesn’t end with the dogs part of the training. The real training begins back home so their owners can practice and get the same reliability we can achieve with them! ✨
Our foster dog, Hazel, is still available for adoption! She has been refreshing her training with us this last month and we are now more actively searching for her new forever family. She is a 4 year old Cattle Dog mix with medium energy. She is very sweet and affectionate, loves to fetch, is very playful and gets along with most dogs, and would be most suitable for a somewhat active home with older or no children.Serious inquires only, DM us if interested in this amazing girl! Whoever does adopt her will get continued support. ❤️
Little miss Evie has made such great progress these last 2 weeks! Her potty/kennel training has been a big priority as well as her excitability on leash and impulsiveness in general.
She has a great attitude and loves the training she just needed some guidance and set expectations, especially when around other dogs. Her focus has made great strides!
Now we will continue to take her to new places and around higher distractions to generalize/proof all of this. Check our story for more!
Duke goes home tomorrow after 3 weeks of training and he has made some serious improvements! He used to exhibit a lot of pushy and excitable behavior along with some strong dog reactivity.
He has become much more neutral and in control around other dogs and understands the expectations of how to be when approaching new people and things.
Now begins Dukes owners learning and putting in the work at home! 💪
Aussie pup, Levi, has about a week left of his stay and he has made huge strides so far! He has good focus and motivation naturally so obedience has been a breeze to teach.
The impulse control around higher distractions (particularly dogs) has been the primary objective. He is a whole lot of puppy but we know he’ll make even more progress this coming week!
Juniper did 3 weeks of board & train with us and had her last lesson today! Her owner is doing a fantastic job keeping up with her training so far.
We went on a hike this morning and the park last week to make sure her owner was able to get the results she wanted when it comes to Junipers state of mind and managing her reactivity.
Juniper used to struggle with feeling comfortable in new environments and would therefore bark, lunge, and overall feel overwhelmed. She has now been able to go on all sorts of fun field trips after training. She has more room for improvement but we know she will continue to progress! 👏👏👏
Little Tank has come a long way since his drop off a week ago! He needed a few days to feel comfortable and to start to trust the process.
He gets super anxious in new environments so when he’s outside or at a new spot, he struggles to focus. Now he is paying more attention, taking food, and as a result is coping with his environment better.
Check our story for more updates on Tank! 🐶
Miss Luna has made some great progress so far! Her focus was anywhere besides on you when she first started. Now she has more value in connection and in the training.
We are just now starting to challenge her with more distraction and to address her reactivity issues. Stay tuned for more updates in our story! 🐶
Housemates, Axel & Mylo, go home today after 3 weeks of training. They have come such a long way! 🙌
Juniper has been with us a little over a week and we are happy to see the improvements with her confidence and comfortability with us!
She’s the type that has struggled to focus because she is always looking over her shoulder, especially in brand new places/situations.
We have now earned her trust so we are working at advancing her obedience and instilling confidence in her when she’s in new surroundings so she can better learn how to cope.
Stay tuned for more updates! 🐶
Another update on Scout, Rylie, & Cash! They go home in two days and we are thrilled with the progress they’ve made these last few weeks.
They are already sweet happy-go-lucky labs but they just struggled to control their excitement and impulse control when together. All the typical barking and jumping behaviors were an everyday occurrence. One big dog doing those behaviors is one thing but 3 is another story!
Teaching the basic obedience was straight forward for these guys but proofing higher distractions and their reliability to do the behaviors even when they get stimulated is what is important.
Clear expectations/communication and proper boundaries are key to owning multiple dogs!
Some clips from the beginning of Mylo and Axels stay until now! These housemates have been with us for a week and we are loving the progress. Axel is a young guy so proper exposure and learning to focus has been important for him. Mylo is older and tends to get over stimulated in certain moments and lacks impulse control.
Both are making improvements in the areas they need to and we will soon be doing more sessions with them working together!
Housemates, Cash, Scout, & Rylie have made great progress these last few days! They spend time together but are doing majority of their sessions independently until they are ready to be around higher distractions. They are quite the happy trio! 😁
Update on Bear! He has been with us a little over a week and has been out of his comfort zone being in a new environment with new people but we see progress in his confidence every day!
His personality is starting to come not more as he lets his guard down and has fun in the training. His obedience is coming along well and we are just starting to add more distractions, specifically dogs as that is one of his issues at home.
Check our story for more updates on Bear as he gains more confidence and learns more skills! 😁
Larks training has been going very well so far! She is generally relaxed and has a super sweet nature just has a few unwanted behaviors to work on like jumping up, pulling on leash, and bolting.
Her obedience has been progressing very well and we will continue to add more challenging distractions this upcoming week. 💪
