Puppy socialization and exposure is so incredibly important! To do this early in life in safe & clean environments is the way to go.
It doesn’t always have to look perfect but letting them hear, smell, feel, new stimuli in their surroundings will help them cope and adapt to new things later in life.
Having some food on you, although not always necessary, can help to create a more positive experience ☝️
Side note: these pups are being raised in our sport and train program where they will learn a foundation necessary for dog sport. 💥
Rip is on his 9th private lesson and he has come such a long way since he started!
He couldn’t hold focus and was very jumpy with noises when out and about and would react to dogs. Now his focus and confidence has improved so much and he is able to be reliable in public!
Board & trains, Maisy, Daisy, Rip, & Monkey came to help out and get their own training and exposure in 😎
Bourbon & Bosco were the latest of our board & trains to graduate and head back home to continue their training journey!
Bourbon the Great Dane puppy was here for 4 weeks to build confidence in new situations, walk better on leash, and to learn how to control his impulses/excitement. He is a dog with a great disposition and attitude, he just needed specific guidance to be a more well rounded adolescent dog!
Bosco was here for 3 weeks and required a little more focus on his overall confidence and exposure to new things. Aside from that, learning how to put his energy into more desirable behaviors versus jumping, nipping, treating his house and family like his own play toys.
Both are still a work in progress as we help coach their families on how to get the same results. Remember, it doesn’t end with the dogs part of the training. The real training begins back home so their owners can practice and get the same reliability we can achieve with them! ✨
A happy attitude and solid reliability is always the goal! Blaze is a great example of this while training in high distraction at Home Depot. 😄 #propermotivation#effectiveleadership#clearcommuncation 🔑
Ari went home today after 3 weeks of board & train and he has improved so much since he was dropped off! His confidence in new environments and his focus around distractions is night and day almost. He’s learned a lot of new skills and we are excited to help him have continued success back home! 💪
Bailey & Bodhi go home in a few days and they have been doing fantastic so far! They are excitable littermates that have learned how to be in control their impulses and be more confident in a lot of new environments/situations. They no longer feed off of each other but can individually listen and be reliable. Happy with these two! 👊
Our foster dog, Hazel, is still available for adoption! She has been refreshing her training with us this last month and we are now more actively searching for her new forever family. She is a 4 year old Cattle Dog mix with medium energy. She is very sweet and affectionate, loves to fetch, is very playful and gets along with most dogs, and would be most suitable for a somewhat active home with older or no children.Serious inquires only, DM us if interested in this amazing girl! Whoever does adopt her will get continued support. ❤️
Midnight went home yesterday after 4 weeks of board & train! She is just the sweetest and most playful girl! Some of the others enjoyed her company while she was here. She also made a lot of progress in regards to her confidence, listening skills, and leash manners among other things. Looking forward to seeing her continued success back home! 🐶
