🦷 Meet Max, our sweet 8-year-old English Bulldog! During his dental cleaning today, our team found an epulis—a small, usually benign growth that can form on a dog’s gums. While most epulides aren’t dangerous, they can make eating or brushing uncomfortable if they get too large. Since Max was already asleep for his dental, we carefully removed it to keep his mouth healthy and pain-free. He woke up wagging that stubby tail of his, already charming everyone in recovery. 💚🐾

🐾 Some of the biggest dangers to pets are hiding in plain sight — pain meds, toxic plants, household cleaners, certain foods, and pesticides.
Even a small amount can cause big problems.

Tofu is a 10-year-old Bichon Frise/Poodle mix who came to see us after her family noticed she wasn’t feeling quite herself. It turned out she had an a**l gland rupture, which can be painful but is thankfully treatable with quick care. Our team expressed the remaining material from her glands, cleaned everything up, and got her started on an antibiotic, a steroid, and a soothing topical ointment to help her heal comfortably.

Tofu went home with her fashionable cone of shame, a few extra snuggles, and a tail wag that told us she was feeling much better already. 🐶💖

We’re so proud of this brave girl for handling her visit like a total pro — and we’re thrilled to celebrate her as our October Pet of the Month! 🎃✨

💉 When it comes to drawing blood, every pet is unique — and so is every vein.
In this clip, our technician Sydney is using the cephalic vein, located along the front leg. It’s a gentle, effective alternative when a jugular draw isn’t ideal — such as in pets with clotting concerns, neck sensitivity, or when jugular access has proven difficult.
By choosing the right site for each patient, we help ensure that every draw is as smooth, safe, and stress-free as possible. 🐾❤️

We’re so excited to introduce Dr. Madeline Beebe, one of the newest faces at Queen Creek Vet Clinic! 🩵

Dr. Beebe joined us two months ago and says she’s loving her time here — and we couldn’t agree more. She’s already made such a positive impact on our team and our patients.

One thing she’s passionate about sharing? Cats aren’t just small dogs. They have unique environmental needs — more litter boxes than cats, scratching and climbing spaces, toys that match their play styles, and cozy hiding spots (especially up high!).

The most common health issues Dr. Beebe sees are allergies and obesity, and she’s dedicated to helping families prevent both through better nutrition, enrichment, and awareness.

We’re so lucky to have Dr. Beebe on the QCVC team, and we know our clients will love her just as much. 💚

Say hello to Cannoli, our September Pet of the Month! 🐶✨
Cannoli is a young German Shorthaired Pointer who came to us for a dental cleaning and surgery to remove a neck mass. To make sure his recovery goes smoothly, we placed a drain at the incision site. This small step helps prevent fluid from collecting under the skin, which makes healing quicker and more comfortable. Cannoli was such a wonderful patient for us—he may have been a new face here, but he instantly won over our team! He’ll be back in a few days to remove the drain, and in about 10 days we’ll see him again to remove his sutures. We’re thrilled to have him as part of our clinic family and can’t wait to celebrate his recovery. 💚🐾

Our September Smile Day was all about slowing down and treating ourselves, thanks to Stephanie’s thoughtful planning! We snacked on charcuterie and muffins, sipped on custom fruit-infused water, enjoyed mini-massages that melted away the stress, and even made our own essential oil blends to take home. Days like this remind us that a happy, cared-for team means better care for our patients too — and that’s something to smile about. 🥰
