Ultrasound has been an important diagnostic tool at our clinic for some time — and now, we’re taking it to the next level.

We’re proud to share that several of our doctors — including Dr. KJ, Dr. Sowerby, Dr. Capell, and more — are currently undergoing advanced training to expand their skills in ultrasound diagnostics. This means even more of our team will be able to perform and interpret ultrasounds confidently, allowing us to provide faster answers and more comprehensive care — right here in-house.

Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive way to examine your pet’s internal organs, detect underlying conditions, and monitor ongoing health concerns. By investing in continued education and cross-training our medical team, we’re making sure your pet’s health is always in capable hands — no matter which doctor you see.

We’re excited about this next chapter in our clinic’s growth, and we’re incredibly proud of our doctors for stepping up, training hard, and continuing to learn — all in service of the animals and families we care for.

If you’re curious whether ultrasound might be helpful for your pet, just ask! We’re here for you and your four-legged family.

At Queen Creek Vet, we see this all the time- so don’t panic, but definitely don’t ignore it!

Common causes include:
🍽️ Getting into the trash or eating something off the ground
🥩 Sudden food changes
😬 Stress or anxiety (yep, nerves can do it!)
🦠 Parasites or infections
🌾 Food allergies or sensitivities
🩺 Or sometimes, it’s a sign of something more serious like pancreatitis or IBD

If your pup has diarrhea but still feels playful and it only lasts a day, it might pass on its own. But call us if you notice:
🚨 Blood in the stool
🚨 Vomiting
🚨 Lethargy or signs of dehydration
🚨 Diarrhea lasting more than 24–48 hours

💡 Pro Tip: Bring in a fresh stool sample if you can—it helps us diagnose faster!

We’re here to keep those tails wagging and tummies happy. 🐾💙
📍Call or visit us anytime—walk-ins welcome!

June was one for the books at Queen Creek Vet Clinic! Our amazing team took time to connect and recharge with a creative afternoon at As You Wish, where we got our hands messy and had some real laughs. Later in the month, we hosted a carnival-themed Smile Day full of games, funnel cake, and classic carnival snacks — a fun way to celebrate each other and the hard work we do every day. The cherry on top? Seeing the sweet faces of our patients throughout it all. Here’s to carrying the fun and spirit into July! 🎪🎨🐾

Meet Dr. Mazie Pini!🐾✨
Dr. Pini joined the QCVC family in February 2025, as one of our rotating doctors, and her impact has already been huge.

She’s passionate about wellness—both for your pets and herself, and she’s wants to correct a few common misconceptions:
🦷 Dental disease: It’s real, common, and preventable with annual exams.
✂️ Spay/neuter surgeries aren’t “de-gendering”, they’re about protecting long-term health.
🚫 Breeding solely for profit can have major ethical and medical consequences.

But there’s more to Dr. Pini than just medicine. She’s driven by faith, family, and fitness- and if she’s not in the clinic, she’s likely in the gym. 🏋️‍♀️
She found her love for CrossFit during her undergrad years and has since been training to become an elite competitive athlete- all while continuing to grow her veterinary career.

Join us today as Dr. Pini takes over our stories to share a BTS look of how a typical day goes!😊

Gentle, graceful, and treat-motivated: Harlow stole our hearts this month.🥰

This stunning Silken Windhound came in for her wellness exam, made fast friends with our tech Chris, and had us all wrapped around her paw in no time. 🐾

With her calm demeanor and puppy sweetness, she’s everything we love about our four-legged patients.
Way to shine, Harlow! 🌟💕

Preparation is everything when it comes to pet anxiety—and now is the time to act.

We offer Trazodone, Gabapentin, and other veterinarian-recommended medications to reduce severe anxiety. But here’s the truth: these medications often need trial runs to make sure they’re the right fit. Some pets may require dose adjustments or a combination of therapies to get the best results.

If your pet needs something milder, we can explore options like pheromone diffusers, calming chews, or calming OTC supplements—which also take time to reach full effect.

📅 Scheduling early gives us time to get it right.
Call today and let’s work together to give your pet the peaceful, safe July 4th they deserve!

If left untreated, this issue can lead to serious discomfort, inflammation, or even abscesses. That’s why early care is key!

At Queen Creek Veterinary Clinic, we offer:

✅ Safe, gentle gland expressions
✅ Follow-up care to prevent future issues

✨ Go behind the scenes with Aubrie ✨

Aubrie joined us as an EVIT extern in March of 2023 and quickly became part of the family. By the summer of 2024, she officially joined our staff, and now she’s back again for summer 2025—bringing her passion and energy back to the clinic before heading back to Tucson.🤩

She’s going into her junior year at the University of Arizona, where she’s majoring in Veterinary Science and minoring in Agriculture Business—all while staying active on campus as a tour guide, sorority sister, and member of an academic honorary. 🎓🌿

Her “why” is simple and powerful: She loves helping animals leave in better shape than they came in. Whether it’s a routine exam or a more urgent visit, she’s all about comfort, care, and clear communication—for both pets and their people.

Follow along in stories today to get a peek into a day in her life, and see why we’re proud to be part of Aubrie’s journey to becoming a veterinarian someday!🥰
