Arizona’s not just sunshine and cacti—when the rain hits, so does the risk🌧️⚠️
Leptospirosis is a dangerous bacteria that thrives in standing water—puddles, irrigation ditches, even that muddy spot in your yard.
Dogs can contract it just by walking through contaminated water or licking their paws afterward.🐶🐾
Infection can lead to serious liver and kidney damage… and it’s zoonotic, meaning it can spread to humans too.

The good news? There’s a vaccine that helps protect your pet.
If your dog hikes, swims, or even drinks from puddles—they may be at risk.

Let’s keep them safe together. Call us to schedule your pet’s lepto vaccine today!🤩

🌸🍫 Lilies and chocolate may look sweet—but to your pets, they’re anything but.
Lilies are extremely toxic to cats—just a nibble or even the pollen can cause serious kidney issues. Chocolate can be dangerous for dogs too, especially darker varieties.
If your pet has gotten into either, don’t wait—call us ASAP or reach out to ASPCA Poison Control. Bring them to us or your closest ER for treatment. Fast action saves lives! 🚑🐾

Earlier this week we had the pleasure of meeting Lady, a 9-week-old English Cockapoo who came in for her puppy exam and vaccines with Dr. Carly. 🥹🩷

Starting care early in a pup’s life helps us catch any concerns while they’re still small and build a solid foundation for lifelong health. Lady was a sweetheart from start to finish- it’s such a privilege to be part of her journey from the very beginning!

🚨 EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨
We came to work today and… the dogs are in charge now. 🐶👨‍⚕️
Dr. Fetcherson is running exams, Nurse Slobbers is on IV duty, and Dr. Wigglebottom has declared that all appointments now include at least three head scratches. 🐾💉
Honestly? Morale is up, but efficiency is… questionable.

Meet BMO, a majestic Maine C**n who came to see us for entropion repair on his left eye! Entropion is a condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the fur and lashes to rub against the eye—ouch! This can lead to irritation, excessive tearing, and even corneal ulcers if left untreated.😪

Dr. Capell performed a surgical correction to restore his comfort, and he’s healing up beautifully! Swipe to see his post-op photo. We’re so glad we could help BMO feel better and keep his gorgeous eyes healthy!🤩🤍

Meet Ares, our Pet of the Month- a wolf-dog hybrid who proves that even the most majestic creatures sometimes need a vet visit! 🐺✨

Ares came in on Wednesday for some GI troubles, but don’t let his wild appearance fool you- he was a total sweetheart! Wolf-dog hybrids walk the line between untamed instincts and loyal companionship, making them fascinating pets for the right owner.

🐾 Fun Fact: Unlike domestic dogs, wolf-dogs tend to be more independent and rely on pack dynamics rather than human approval. Training them is more about mutual respect than teaching tricks!

🩺 Vet Fact: Because of their mixed genetics, wolf-dogs don’t always respond to medications the way domestic breeds do. That’s why personalized veterinary care is a must!

We loved having Ares in the clinic and can’t wait to see him again (hopefully for a wellness visit next time!). Have you ever met a wolf-dog hybrid? Let us know below! ⬇️🐾
