Making Miss Snowball more “user friendly” for her little girl 🥰
This Mustang mare Freedom has a hard time trusting her rider and humans above her, which has resulted in some unscheduled dismounts. When I have horses like this in my barn, a useful tool is mounting blocks, fences, and a confident helper horse so that I can work above the horses head and back. This is my second week with Freedom.
This absolutely sweet mare, Nalii, is headed home 🥰
Her wonderful mother allowed her to spend 8 month with me, and Nalii has always been an absolute joy. When we first got her in, she knew very little, due to many years spent as a broodmare. Although she was green and a little worried, she always tried her hardest. This last month with us she’s proven herself completely when I knew I could trust her to keep my children safe in the arena and on trail rides. We will miss Nalii so much but we are so excited for her to be reunited with her mom in Pennsylvania. Also, Creech Horse Transportation, Inc. was absolutely wonderful to work with!
Where is your favorite place to trail ride with your horse?
I’m pretty dang blessed to have seen some amazing views horse back and I love to explore!
I had the pleasure of tuning up this smooth, leggy 3 year old named ‘Hope’ for her owners and she’s been a joy.
It’s always nice to get on horses that have been started well, but this one began her riding career with the great horseman Brian Bausch. Not only did Brian make training look effortless, his horses retain what he taught. It’s a true gift to ride one that Brian has trained, Hope is so soft and responsive and I get a little emotional when I know it’s because of the wonderful trainer in her past. You are very missed Brian.
‘Pippin’ is a 3 year old by Hashtags. We’ve had so much fun while she’s been in my barn. She’s sassy but incredibly athletic and smart. Can’t wait to see her in the cutting pen!
So many good videos today, but this one really stands out to me.
Susan has been a client for over a year and has over come so much with her mare, Ivy. Ivy is an OTTB that came with a good amount of baggage and quite a bit of sass. It hasn’t been easy, but Susan’s dedication and tenacity truly impresses me. Not only has this big, powerful mare come with her own amount of struggles and set backs along their journey, Susan is just now recovering from breaking BOTH of her arms (in a horse accident unrelated to Ivy). This is not the first canter on her mare, but it is one that really hit home for Susan, and the raw emotion at the end of the clip had me in tears. I’m so proud of both equine and rider, and cannot wait to see what their future holds.
Little Miss Jingle showing off how brave she can be going under the Hawes bridge
@alli_riddler asked me how someone might teach a horse how to “dance”, after seeing a video of it on TikTok. I decided to do a quick demonstration on how I would begin to teach it with Gus, who has never been asked to do anything like it before. This is what we were able to achieve in 5 minutes 💃🏻
“Ringo”
This is my second session with this big guy. He’s nervous and leery of every move I make above him. The first step up and the last step up were 10 minutes apart. I will keep posting about his journey with me!
2 y/o Riley helping her new friend, Smudge, work on confidence around the scary flag.
Smudge is a 5 y/o OTTB that is only on her 6th ride since the track, her mom is doing a wonderful job with her!
Also, the redhead featured helping video is a sweet mare I used to own, I see her often and she is so loved!
This little Peruvian has come so far
Can your 3 year old do this? 😁
