FOUND 3/7/22, Wheatley heights, male, case #22-101, contact Babylon Animal Shelter to identify, 631-643-9270. Our strays are held 5 days by law and then they will get an exam, Heartworm test, microchip, and spay/neuter, and other medical procedures. Only once that is complete can they be picked up for adoption. You can expect it to take 1-3 weeks before a dog is ready for adoption. If you are interested in adopting, you can come to the shelter, meet the dog, and then put in an adoption application. Up to 5 applications will be taken.

Please donate or consider fostering

We are sorry and pretty heartbroken to say that until further notice we can not take on any more rescue requests. 💔
Meowsquad is a small foster based rescue that gets no government aid for what we do. The few TNR certified volunteers we have are constantly running around trapping and providing space for as many cats/kittens as we can. Even though we have some fabulous fosters, it’s not enough to keep up with the requests. And we currently have many kittens in dire need of one on one time.
As for funds, we realize we constantly request. However, our food and vet bills are well over $600 weekly (assuming no emergencies). That money has to come from somewhere and we usually have to subsidize it ourselves. The simple fact of the matter is, unless a kitten is in obvious distress, we don’t get regular donations. We can try to save them but they still need ongoing care.
Unfortunately, we are just burnt out and broke. We fear the kitties in our care will pay the price.
We have NO space, NO money and not enough help.
Until we can get more fosters/space and FUNDS we can’t keep going. We have too many cats under our care, and we just can’t do more than what we are doing.
Thank you for understanding. If you are able to provide any of these things please reach out, all link are on our Instagram link tree.
