Very sad news to report from Waggin’ Tails. Kay J, our most tenured dog who logged almost 1700 visits, was put to rest Thursday evening after a 5 month battle with Lymphoma, age 6 years 8 months. Less than 3 months after we opened, this teeny, tiny pup came strolling in shaking her b***y all over the place. For almost 6.5 years, we were blessed to watch Kay J grow and flourish here. She was our Queen pup and she shook that b***y right up until she couldn’t. She did have chemotherapy that unfortunately became ineffective but even when her treatments stopped, she kept on coming and kept on Queening. When the illness became too much and she became too tuckered out, she kept on a brave face and she went peacfully surrounded by nothing but love and she was met on the other side by some of her old pals from daycare. Remy, Teddy, Elvis and Bella were all waiting for her with open paws. I tear up as I type this because she was such a fixture here and we do get attached to your pups. Death is always sad but losing her before her time is tragic to us but we like to think that a piece of her soul will always linger here and we take comfort in that. Make sure your fur babies know how much they mean to you today. For Kay J…. Rest in Peace 8/15/2015 - 4/7/2022
*Special thanks to all that donated for her treatment. Though it proved ineffective after a short while, her family and us were able to spend a few quaility months with her. We are forever in your debt*
