Calling all Wheaton Terrier fans! Zara is looking for a home to call her own. This gorgeous girl is about a year old with silky soft and curly hair like you read about. She can be shy at first but is as sweet and affectionate as they come. Her personality shines when she is in the company of other dog friendly dogs and small children. Zara enjoys playing outside with balls and squeaky toys and is ideally looking for a home with a fenced in yard for all the extra play time with a family that is home more often than away. Zara its thriving at her foster’s home while she overcomes a medical issue, veterinarians are feeling optimistic about her prognosis. Come meet Teddy, a 7.5-year-old Golden Doodle. Teddy is a good ol’ boy who loves his walks, fetch and sniff and search games. On his walks we find that he loves rolling in the grass and is distracted by other dogs passing by. He is easily redirected with treats and will carry on. We ask that Teddy’s next home will be a calm environment. Teddy is a mature dog who would prefer a mature home. While he is sweet and likes attention, he is not a hugger, he just likes his space. He will need regular visits to the groomers who can maintain his beautiful coat and allergy meds to minimize his itching. Cali is a super sweet 13-year-old girl looking for a quiet, loving home to spend her golden years. This senior girl is blind due to previously untreated high blood pressure which is now under control and managed with two pills a day that she gobbles right down with a treat or two. She is also doing an eye drop every other day, but this may be only temporary. Her sight impairment means she would prefer a quieter home where things don't move around too much, as she gets around just fine once she learns her surroundings. She would love nothing more than to spend her days cuddled up on your chest purring away, enjoying treats and pets, and passing a toy back and forth with you (since she will need help finding them!). With slow introductions she may do well with another kitty that gives her space and doesn't need a constant playmate. If you have space in your family and home for sweet Cali her adoption fee is $125 and she can't wait to meet you! Meet Biscuit! At 1.5 years old Biscuit is looking for his forever home. The shelter is scary for Biscuit, but if you go slow he will come out for pets and treats. He has lived with older kids before and his previous owners tell us he was very playful. He hasn’t lived with other animals, but we think that with proper introductions he could do well with another cat. Dogs may be a little too scary for him. Biscuits adoption fee is $225.

Binx is a sweet 1 year old all black gentleman. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he does he is such a lovebug. He likes to be pet and will roll around showing you his belly and rubbing is face on everything. Binx also enjoys Churu treats and will lick them off your finger. He would do best in a home with older children or adults only as he’s skittish and young kids would scare him. Binx had never lived with another animal and we think dogs may also be scary for him. With proper introductions, he would likely do well with another cat. Binx’s adoption fee is $225.

Sweet Blue is a handsome and gentle black and white boy. He was very shy upon arrival at the shelter, but has started coming out of his shell, enjoying pets and nose boops, and sticking his paws out of his cage to play with volunteers.

Blue has a history of going outside the litter box in his previous home, likely related to the stress of being around high energy young children, so he needs to go to a quiet, stress-free home. He will also need to be on anti-anxiety medication and prescription food long term. He has shown friendly interest in other cats at the shelter, so we think he will be ok with a mellow cat sibling. Gabby is a gorgeous senior girl. At 15 years old, she is very anxious being in a shelter environment. Since arriving, Gabby has displayed her anxiety through hissing and swatting while volunteers are in her cage. Shes scared, confused and doesn’t understand why she is here. Gabby is looking for an experienced cat owner who can give her the time and space to adjust to a new home. Given her spicy nature, she would do best in an adult only home. Her adoption fee is $125.

Francine is a gorgeous 7 year old tortie girl. She was very shy and skittish when she first arrived at the shelter. As she is settling in, her sweet, gentle personality is emerging, and she welcomes pets and nose boops when approached slowly.

Francine is scheduled for laser eye surgery to correct a lesion, so we are looking for a foster to adopt process where her new family is able to bring her to vet appointments etc. until her treatment is complete. The surgery might impact her vision, so she needs to go to a calm home and be the only cat without children or other pets to startle her. If you want to open your heart and home to this beautiful, sweet, gentle soul, please come visit her Saturday! Her adoption fee is $225.

Meet Snowball! Snowball is 10 year old all white female cat who, while scared of most things, is looking for her person to love. She can startle easily, but once she’s feeling comfortable in a quiet place, she will cuddle up to you for pets and hugs, usually giving you a few headbutts to show she’s ready for love. Snowball’s favorite thing is to sit next to you making biscuits or to be held in your arms cuddled up against you. Snowball needs to be your one and only - she has shown fear of other cats and dogs, and will need a quiet home with no children. If you can give her patience and love, Snowball will repay you many times over with the sweetest affection. Her adoption fee is $225.

What’s big and brown and black all over?
Me, Zeppelin, a 95 pound Rottweiler.

I’m 5 years old and have already gone through a bit. The folks here at QAS quickly fell in love with me and learned that my eyes needed medical attention. Turns out I have a condition called entropion, and I had surgery to correct it. I’m doing much better.

The folks at QAS have helped me calm down around dogs, but I would still rather dogs not come up and meet me. I dont think I would want to live with a dog. Or cats either.

Flora is ready for her new home. She continues to flourish with meeting new people, keeping focus strolling through all the distractions in Home Depot, learning how to be appropriate around other dogs and looks forward to continuing this education in her new home. Her new home must have the ability, skill, and time to continue growing her strengths and confidence. Giving Flora better choices using positive methods when she gets scared or anxious, this will make Flora grow into the beautiful flower she is.

Flora wants an adult only home who has experience with Belgian Malinois dogs with drive or working, can give her the structured life she strives for, exercising both her body and mind. Her new parents will need to come to the board and train to learn how to transfer her new knowledge.

Oreo is an 11 year old sweetheart of a cat who has won over the hearts of many volunteers. He loves being pet and loves getting attention from humans. Oreo has lived with small dogs who he loved and other cats. With proper introductions, he would likely do well with either. Oreo's right eye appearance is due to Horner's syndrome. Stress can trigger these symptoms, though it's possible it could resolve on it's own. This senior boy can’t wait to meet you and soak up all the attention. Puppycat is a beautiful 8 year old long haired tortoiseshell cat. Puppycat has been understandably scared and reserved since arriving at the shelter with us. Volunteers have found that with patience and slow interactions she really enjoys attention and pets. Puppycat would love to be your only pet so she can soak up all of your love and affection.
