Sweet Frankie! She is 3 years old and a pit bull. We love her so much!

Rarely, but sometimes, pet sitting looks like this……a very nervous/scared guest who we have to try to win over, for hours.

Yesterday was Frankie’s first night of boarding and she was quit scared! She loved all the dogs, but was very timid around Henry and I, only allowing small pets. It’s understandable, her previous owners abandoned her and it took her new mom 6 MONTHS to coax her from under the house she was hiding under! Trust doesn’t come easy to her!

So, I set up her kennel in the living room that was brought from her home, kept her door open, and allowed her to come and go as she pleased. Her feeling safe was our top priority, and her kennel was that space for her. She ate her meals in there, and I brought her water. Frankie made mini excursions around the house at her leisure, we just let her do her thing, while giving her words of affirmation!

Although she never fully got comfortable with us, we still consider this boarding session a success! Her parents were able to leave town for the weekend, and Frankie was safe, warm, and very loved here. We hope to see her more often so that over time we can continue to build our relationship with her, and one day, she may just sit on the couch to watch the football game and sleep in our bed at night!

Meet Rosaletti, aka Rosie! She is a 2.5 year old boxer terrier mix and an absolute sweetheart! We had the honor of taking care of her while her family went on vacation. Her family was hesitant to travel in the past, due to not wanting to use traditional boarding facilities, but now, they can travel without worrying about their baby! Rosie is a total velcro dog, and would suffer being isolated in a traditional boarding facility. Rosie was very well behaved, and only fussed when she wasn’t physically touching or right next to one of us. She played well with other guests and got along perfectly with everyone! She played hard and snuggled harder. Henry only won games of tug of war because he cheated 🤣 We absolutely adore her, and can’t wait to take care of her again next month!

Meet Cash! He is a 3 year old Irish Doodle. He had his first day of daycare a few days ago! He acted like he had been here 100 times the way he dragged me up the porch steps, and immediately claimed a dinosaur toy and ran around the house 🤣 He is an absolute doll, very well behaved, enjoyed morning family nap with his head on my pillow, excellent at fetch, and killed about 5 toys while he was here…..so I’d say a very productive day! Our family is growing by 10 toes! Baby Boy Nokes is due April 2025! We are beyond excited and blessed to be on this new journey!

I started pet sitting with a goal of starting a family and being able to be a (mostly) stay-at-home mom while also bringing in income doing something I love. God has blessed us with our successful business and our newest addition, our baby boy. Everything is coming together exactly how we planned and hoped it would, and we are incredibly thankful!

As to be expected, I will be SIGNIFICANTLY reducing boarding and drop- ins March-May. I will only be accepting ESTABLISHED guests on a very limited basis.

Cooler weather means Auntie Bri gets outside more (iykyk 🤣) I got permission from Rosey’s Mama to take her for a walk in the neighborhood, so we had a lovely 1 mile walk with the Littles this afternoon. 🍂 🥰 🍁

Meet Chloe! We were blessed to take care of her last weekend while her family was out of town enjoying ball games. Chloe turned 9 years old while in our care, and her mother had left her with cupcakes to share with everyone, which was much appreciated and fun!

Chloe is a sweet, vocal, stubborn lady. She knew she was the boss, so we had to do things to make her think it was her idea to get her to cooperate at times 😆 Once she parked her big butt, she wasn’t moving….unless you bribed her with fresh off the stove bacon 🤣 She didn’t get to be over 100 pounds by cooperating 🤣 It was especially sweet to see her play with the younger dogs and try to keep up with them, in between her long naps wherever she fell, of course! We absolutely adored her, and hope to see her again soon!

Henry and I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of our clients, especially our repeat clients and the referrals! You kept us booked all summer long and helped me provide for my family while doing something I love. We have slowed down now that school is in session, so we get a moment to breath, but the holidays will be here before we know it.
