From Galileo foster/trainer:
The good and the bad of Mr. Galileo
Galileo has about a month left of training and I would love to find him the perfect adopter or foster home before he’s done! Anyone who welcomes into their home will get free training and support to help everyone be successful! I’d love to keep him, but then I wouldn’t be able to help more dogs get out of the shelter ❤️

Let’s start with the good- He’s incredibly sweet and LOVES his people. The longer he is here the more personality he has, he’s a goofy guy that likes to party, but also knows how to nap like a pro. He walks decent on leash and is greatly improving on the few problem behaviors he had on arrival, and thinks training is a great game. He honestly fits into our home perfectly and makes it really hard not to love him almost immediately (I mean who could say no to that distinguished grey face? 🥺). He loves his Nylabones, he thinks squirrels and cats are for chasing, beds are for good naps, and other dogs are only good for good sniffs. He’s not loud, he doesn’t jump, he’s kennel trained, he’s food motivated, and is pretty sure you and everyone else would like to be his friend (in the most polite gentleman manner ever; he would probably wear a top hat and bow saying “M’lady” when meeting you, if he could). He’s honestly one of the easiest dogs in the house and just peacefully exists. He’s great in his kennel and in the car too!
He’s also a 10/10 excellent tripping hazard, but I’ve yet to meet a large dog that isn’t 😅
He’s so easy he gets special privileges like sleeping loose in my room with my personal dogs at night, Ducky doesn’t even get that privilege; and I don’t any other foster has gotten it outside of once or twice for training purposes either!
Now the bad- the main problem behaviors we had are (and will need
Rocky- 7-8yr male, human and dog friendly. Rocky is ready to rumble… or maybe he’s just ready to take a nap on the couch and eat ALL of your treats. This boy is big and strong, but very friendly and will be very eager to work for food and learn!

Will you Take a Chance on Chance?
Chance- 3yr old male, human friendly, but will need to work in his muzzle in a group dog setting as he has a history of dog aggression. He has a lot of training under his belt and will only be assigned to a volunteer knowledgeable in handling dogs with behavioral issues to keep him and others safe. He LOVES tug and training, if you know how to play a good game of tug he will be

Chance opening presents Christmas morning!
Chance is the dog of 1,000 facial expressions! He will melt your heart with his smile. He is another who just wants a home all to himself and because of that keeps getting passed over. Maybe this will be the year his Christmas wish comes true.

Buster opening presents Christmas morning!
Buster has unfortunately been bounced between a few homes at a young age but hopefully soon he will be in his fur-ever home. For Christmas, in addition to his presents, he found out he has an approved adoption application. He will go on a trial basis right after the commotion of Christmas is over. Fingers crossed your Christmas came true!
