Foster To Adopt Request!

We are attempting to stay on top of the weather for this weekend and as we see snow/ice/mess moving in…we were curious to see if anyone interested in Bruce would want to potentially foster this weekend, as he is currently the only dog we have. Of course, this is with an approved application and if other dogs are in the home we will require a meet and greet.

Mickey is on the hunt for her forever home. This sweet girl is about 4-5 years old. She has been through it in the last few months. Mickey would do best in a home with no dogs, as they seem to be too much for her. She is quiet and still continuing to come out of her comfort zone.

Meet Oscar!
Oscar is a one-year-old Australian Shepherd/Schnauzer mix who was actually a pup from the litter of 10 that we had. He needs to find a new home due to no fault of his own. Oscar is the definition of a Velcro pup! He has lived with other dogs and loves playing and meeting new dogs. He has not lived with or been exposed to cats, so current owner is unsure of how he would do living with one. Oscar is energetic and knows how to fetch, sit and lay down. He likes being outdoors, so an active family would probably be in his best interest.

Meet Ryder!
Ryder is a 5-year-old Terrier mix. Ryder is neutered and up to date on vaccines, per the current owner. Ryder is very affectionate, loves other dogs but is a little too rough with cats. He has a lot of energy and needs a little bit of a refresher on basic training, but overall is a very good boy.

Boone has settled in with Katlin Coffey and the Off Leash K9 Training Blacksburg/Roanoke team! This guy is doing great so far…even forcing people to give belly rubs in the middle of Home Depot. 😅 we can’t wait to see how Boone is when he comes back to us. He is available for adoption, so if you’re interested please feel free to reach out for an application and once approved we can set up a meet and greet. He will be available to go to a home on Janruary 23rd! Boone is about a year old, neutered and up to date on vaccines! His adoption fee is also sponsored!
Boone can be adopted anywhere, all fees are paid and he will come back to us with his 3week Board and Train Certificate!

We have some more coats that we found, that we would love to find homes for! 🐶🐾

Bruce asked me to add a few things. Bruce is an American Pit Bull Terrier, who is about 2.5years old and weighs approximately 80lbs. He has been housed with other dogs in training and done well, though WILL REQUIRE someone with Bully experience if other dogs are in the home. He was curious about cats initially, then chose to ignore them, though he does have a slight drive for things that run from him, so he does need a proper outlet to release that. We are requiring Bully breed experience. Bruce seems to be perfectly happy being the only "child", human or furry in the home.
Bruce is house broken, crate trained, he knows the commands sit, down, place & off, though REQUIRES someone very firm or he will push his boundaries to see how far he can get with you. He is a brute and needs someone who is very adamant on keeping up with his training and all the hard work not only his trainer, but himself as well, has put forth!

The trainer has agreed to do a training session with the adopter to start Bruce and his adopter's relationship out on the right foot. She is also willing to be available for follow ups throughout his life.
Bruce wanted to remind everyone that he is neutered, his adoption fee is sponsored, he has been through a Board and Train with one of the best locally known training programs in the New River Valley. Now let’s break it down a little further: Bruce being neutered means he can be adopted anywhere. LITERALLY ANYWHERE!
Bruce’s adoption fee has been paid! Not only can he be adopted ANYWHERE, but his fee is also paid!
Bruce has been through some extensive training with Off Leash K9 Training Blacksburg/Roanoke. This company donated time and trainers to work with Bruce to help him become a great listener and an even better companion!
So let’s break this down just a lil more further, Bruce is neutered, up to date on vaccines, has had extensive training and ALL OF HIS FEES ARE PAID!
He is the whole package all in one! 🤩🤩🤩

These two boys need a home! 🏡🐈
They can be as sweet as they come, but they need time to adjust to human interaction. They are the last two left from their litter, who were all the same and all took less than a day to be snuggled up with their new people! If you’re interested in meeting these boys, please send us a message for an application!

“I sure hope everyone stays warm with all of this white stuff that’s on the ground. It’s cold on my paws but I was super excited to get out and walk just a little bit. These humans (that I’m pretty sure are smitten over me, especially the short one) sure know how to treat a fella. It’s nice and warm and cozy and one even brought me a bone after our short walk.
It’ll be nice when I have my own family who are smitten over me, all I hear right now is how much that short girl just loves me! I’ve learned so much with all of these awesome people I have lived with recently. I promise I’m the goodest boy…especially when there are belly rubs and snacks involved. Id like to meet some new people, They say humans have to put in some sort of application or something for me and I sure wish someone would fill whatever that is out so I can show them what a good boy I am. I’m the whole package, literally!”

For as little as $20* you can have your pit bull/pit bull mix spayed or neutered with the Tulip Fund at Mountain View Humane? The only requirements: your dog must look like a "pit bull" (simply send us a picture - NO DNA test required!) and you must live in the New River Valley area. *Other minimal fees may apply depending on the size of the dog and status of rabies vaccine.
