Did you know mushrooms are magic? The 'magic' in mushrooms is that - like human skin - they can increase their Vitamin D levels just by exposure to sunlight!

Just put them in a sunny spot, 'gills' side up. They may discolour slightly or dry out a little, but they're fine and their Vitamin D will increase. Mushrooms are the only vegetable source of Vitamin D, so they're great for rats fed a vegetarian diet, as well as any diet where Vitamin D hasn't been added. (Donna)
