This is Angus, a dog we raised that came back to us this fall because his owner didn't have the time to spend with him anymore and didn't want to see him being wasted. This is his second second day of training with me. He was on a farm before, but they used him mainly for driving not fetching, so at first he wanted to stay next to me instead of bringing the cattle to me. He's learning balance and directional commands very quick. We're so happy to have him back, we loved him as a puppy. He's a Hank x Jules puppy and is just like Hank. We have a litter due in a couple weeks by him.
Newt is still available. We know he's not a merle and everyone wants a merle, but you're not going to find much better of a dog than him. How many young dogs are this calm and have this much self control with kids right after being let out of their kennel? If you are interested in Newt, send us a message, I'm sure we can work something out. We don't want much for him, we just want him to have a great home. Newt just turned a year old on February 7th, he is up to date on his shots and heartworm prevention and can be ASCA registered with limited registration (not for breeding).
Max recently spent 10 days at Circle CJD Cowdogs for some training. Chaunce worked on slowing him down and getting a stop on him. I'm really happy with Max's progress, he's not working on pure adrenaline and starting to think about what he's doing a little more.
Panda realized how much fun the pond could be!! This little guy is still available. He's a pretty good pup; he's fairly calm and he really enjoys being around me more than being around the other dogs.
Max on cattle - 4/27/18
I went to Circle CJD Cowdogs again this past weekend to work Max and Belle. Max did real good, he was a little too aggressive on sheep, but did great on cattle. It's real nice to have someone who can help me with my training and a place to go work my dogs till I get my place set up.
Belle on sheep - 4/27/18
I went to Circle CJD Cowdogs again this past weekend to work Max and Belle. This was Belle's first time stock on over 6, but she did great on sheep and pretty good on cattle. She just needs to gain some confidence on cattle.
Max got some time on stock this past weekend at Circle CJD Cowdogs. He did pretty dang good for his first time on sheep and then got some training in on some calves. This was his 4th time on cattle and did much better in a small pen where I could control him some. Big thanks to Chaunce for the help!
Gracie's having fun with the puppies!!
This litter will definitely be "socialized"!
Me and Hank where playing with the chickens this evening. Chickens are so hard to work, they don't stay together and they just want to run to the coop when we try to move them anywhere. But it's a good way to work on directional commands and teaching him to rate.
