Fundraiser time! Get your holiday shopping done early for the furbabies and help out a good cause.

My senior dog Keke recently had to get an emergency surgery to remove a mass and her spleen. She is currently back home in recovery as we await the biopsy results. To help pay off the vet expenses I wanted to do another toy drive fundraiser. All proceeds will go to help pay down Kelyla's recent emergency visit and surgery.

We have a variety of snuffle mats: $15
Fleecey rope toys: $6

If interested in smaller rope toys for puppies and small breeds toys would be 2 for $6.

I may have some small cat toy fleecy poms for 2 for $1 as well.

I'll update my page as more toys are made but I can take special requests! Currently available snuffle mats pictured below.

Thank you everyone who supported my toy drive for Vilalobos this year!

My husband and I dropped the toys off over our honeymoon. We volunteered for the morning and although we were not able to give out any of the toys at the time (the boss ladies weren't in that day) we were able to still help out. We washed all the dogs bowls from breakfast, made some enrichment toys (peanut butter frisbees!) and then got to cuddle with Falcor the mascot :)

Special thanks to my mom who was the biggest contributer of donated toys!!!

In total we donated:

165 fleecey rope toys
20 small fleecey rope toys
6 snuffle mats

Well, we tried but didn't make the goal of 100 toys by the end of Sept. :(

There is still time to donate though and a lot more to reach my goal of a toy for every dog at Villalobos!

If you've considered donating, do it! For just $5 two homeless dogs can have the joy of a new toy. :)

We just need $65 more in donations to reach our goal of 100 toys donated by the end of the month!

I'll be back in WI next week so you can even start buying your dogs toys again. So either $5 gives your dog a toy, and one gets donated -OR- $5 is two toys donated to rescue dogs!!

Hey Everyone! I know it's been awhile. Although I'm not in Wisconsin I still want to work towards my toy drive goal of 400 fleecey rope toys for Villalobos Rescue Center.

Although I'm pausing from making snuffle mats I am still cranking out fleecey rope toys for donation!

How can you help? Each $5 donation equals 2 fleecey rope toys for the dogs down south in Louisiana! Villalobos has always had a special place in my heart due to my pittie baby Kelyla. Villalobos is the largest pit bull rescue in the world and they don't stop at pitties! They rescue hounds, wolf hybrids, cats and anything else that needs assistance.

Before getting a summer wildlife field tech position out of state I was half way to my goal of 400 toys by the end of Oct. So I'm looking for at least 200 donated toys in the next two months! But we can do it! Just $5 is two fleecey rope toys donated. I'm already at 40 toys donated so we are almost 25% way there!

I know it's been awhile!! I've been out of state, and will be for the rest of the summer.

I do however want to continue my toy drive for Villalobos Rescue for this Novemeber. We still have time to hit my goal of 400 fleecy rope toys donated! So far I have about 160.

This week I recieved my first snuffle mat donation for the Vilalobos Toy Drive! 🥰

I posted the snuffle mats on my local market place and a woman special ordered a custom mat (fruity pebble snuffle mat!). Unfortantely her dog Mia passed away suddenly😢 but she still wanted to donate the mat and rope toy in Mia's honor. So thank you Pam and your precious Mia for your generous donation.

In honor of Mia I would like to spread the kindness. The next two people to add a snuffle mat donation to their order (only $5 with a $15 minimum purchase) will recieve a Free EXCLUSIVE toy!!!

Curious about trying a snuffle mat?

These are great to stimulate your dogs mind and nose. What's even better than letting your dog search for delicious treats? These are very durable and machine washable!

So far for the donation drive I have a total of 27 toys. With the lofty goal of enough toys for all of the dogs at Villalobos I need to sell on average 50 toys a month. We are half way there for this month!

All toys for donation from now until end of October will be donated to Villalobos Rescue Center. Vilalobos is the largest pit bull rescue in the world. They have over 400 dogs in their care at a time and have multiple specialized locations across southern Louisiana helping all breeds of dogs including a large group of hounds. They even have a Texas location providing a home to some rescued wolf hybrids: the original animal the Tia Torres rescued in her early days.

Based in Madison, WI. Some opportunities for pick up in other places throught south east Wisconsin message or market events. Message for details.

Kelyla is my first dog, and when she was younger she was a very hyper, intelligent, stubborn and high energy little freak. I began making handmade dog toys because she loves destroying toys and I hated picking up stuffing scattered all over the house. Over the years I started making them for friends and family as well as having toy making parties or toy drives to make a bunch of toys to donate to local rescues and shelters.

When Kelyla was originally diagnosed with Cushing's and hyperthyroidism back in January of 2020 I started selling these rope toys as a way to help fund her expensive vet bills during her initial diagnosis and treatment. This will require lifetime management with frequent vet trips for monitoring.

Now that Kelyla is on track and we're managing her disease well, I wanted to give back to one of my favorite rescues in honor of Kelyla, an American Pit Bull Terrier. She is one of the best dogs i've had and is one of my best friends. She has changed a lot of minds about pit bulls and bully breeds. She is my little breed ambassador and has turned me into an advocate. Vilalobos Rescue Center is the world's largest pit bull rescues. They not only rescue one of Americas most maligned breeds, but originated as a wolf dog rescue in CA, which turned into a pit bull rescue and parolee rehab center. They rescue all dog breeds, all animals actually. They have multiple satellite rescue locations specializing in hounds, wolf-hybrids and special needs health cases. They promote education and assist public with providing better care of their dogs.

In November I am getting married, and part of my honeymoon trip will be volunteering for a day at Vilalobos Rescue Center. So from now until the end of October all donated toys (from the Buy-One-Donate-One BODO, and purchased snuffle mat donations) will be collected and donated during our volunteer day. So help a rescue dog while also providing your dog some engaging fun! I have a lofty goal of being able to provide a donated toy for every dog under their care!
