Based on real events..

I was walking into the grocery store and this girl goes up to a guy with 2 boxers who are seemingly chill but totally disengaged from the owner. An adult and a puppy

A girl approaches and says "can I pet your dog"?

And the owner goes "Yeah but he will jump on you"

before he could even finish his sentence the adult boxer was all over her while she was wrapping her arms around the dog petting it, saying "it's okay I love dogs"

And I couldn't help but judge them... both of them.

A picture perfect example of everything wrong with the dog world

So if I haven't said this enough 👇

I don't "love dogs" if that's what "loving dogs" means to you

When I arrive at my clients house and their dog is jumping all over me and they are apologizing profusely...

and I say "it's okay... let them do it"

That isn't the same thing

Because 2 minutes later? I correct the dog for its disrespect, when it's not expecting it

to set a boundary it won't forget 🎯

Because when I'm at a client's house, I'm there to stop problem behavior

Because I'll say it again 👇

I don't "love dogs" 😮‍💨

I love well-behaved dogs 🐕💖✨️

And I love humans committed to having a well-behaved dog 🎯

As a society we have a major gap between what we visualize "loving dogs" to look like and what it actually is

Loving dogs is learning how to lead them in this modern human world. Routine. Structure. Boundaries. Accountablility. Pack Activities.

I don't feel sorry for anyone making social media accounts dedicated to their reactive dog's behavior issue

Because having control over your dog's behavior is a choice

And if you choose to spend your time posting about your dog's problems

It means you have time to find an actual solution

And you aren't.

Misery loves company

I could have easily used the hundreds of hours I spent learning about Dog Psychology and Pack Leadership to build a whole brand identity as a Reactive Dog Mom instead

And you know why I didn't?

Because stopping the behavior was more important to me than pity-chasing and attention seeking on social media

the best thing I ever did to get control of my Reactive Dog's Behavior was to stop participating in Reactive Dog Community, making friends, looking for empathy from groups like and other "feel good" community groups dedicated to perpetuating the idea that reactivity is a life sentence.. it's their dogs entire "personality"

When reactivity literally is not for 95% of dogs...

Here's what reactivity really is ⬇️

Reactivity is a choice you are making to ignore dog trainers with proven solutions.

Choose wisely ✨️

& share this with a Reactive Dog Mom who keeps complaining about their dog's behavior but doesn't do anything about it because nobody likes a martyr

No where in the wild will you find dogs playing with dogs and saying hi to stranger dogs.

Socialization means something different for humans and canines

For humans, being social means "building community"

For a dog, a pack animal, that means it prefers the company of it's pack

When you force it to socialize with strangers, you are putting them into HIGH ALERT because that's NOT normal for a pack leader to allow stranger dogs to just waltz up and invade the pack

Dog and wolf pack territories are hundreds of square miles in the natural world... In the modern human world, it's very different.

Here, stranger packs exist around us and nearby but we still respect other pack's territory, and you will still protect your pack's space/territory as needed.

so your dog doesn't need to get hostile or excited because seeing another dog because you're acting like a true pack leader who understands how dog's think and perceive other dogs

Save this or share with a friend who needs to stop letting their dog say hi to other dogs and DEFINITELY stop going to the dog park/doggie daycare.

yes, you NEED to get your dog off the furniture if you are trying to change your dog's behavior or working towards serious training goals

If you have ANY behavior issues the home or outside the home, on leash, or off leash - get your dog off the FURNITURE ❌🛋️🛏️

Dogs use elevation to assert their dominance/control/power over resources, spaces, movement, and to establish relationships with other animals

When you're on the same level, it's easier for your dog to use their body to physically push you around, invade your space, and demand attention/affection, or claim/guard a resource from you...

maybe even pushing you off the couch, constantly stealing your spot, or getting nasty when you try to send them away (without a treat)

furthermore, the most dominant or "top dog" will always ASSUME the highest elevated surface to "claim" and hangout on, while it surveys and polices the environment...

so if you don't want your dog to think it's the top dog in your pack

you need to start giving it feedback about it's assumption so it knows better.

This teaches your dog that you control space and resources and starts to reduce your dog's possessiveness, entitled-ness, reactivity, aggression, and anxiety OVERALL

It will also help shift your dog's perception of you from friend/littermate to a strong and balanced Pack Leader which will increase your dog's level of RESPECT for you overall, in any environment

Have you already worked with a trainer who emphasized

• Loose leash walking
• Heeling next to you
• Permission-based sniffing
• Building focus with rewards or Yes-Work

But you're still struggling? 🥵

That's because none of those techniques engage your dog in PACK MODE

All dogs have a Pack Drive, and when it's engaged properly, your dog will Follow you calmly, submissively, and they will be less-reactive and easier to control overall

In our Stay & Train program, our priority is to break dog's sense of independence and get them to depend on their primary handler(s) to start depending on them FULLY - building trust as a loyal follower

Because the walk is supposed to mirror moving / migrating as a pack - NOT exploration

Here’s another 1 of the 12 Tips to get your dogs behavior under control ASAP! ✨️🐕💯

Having strong ROUTINE is imperative so your dog starts seeing and believing their needs are being provided for and they stop having to ask for help!

If you don't proactively provide biological fulfillment, your dog will believe it has to fend for itself to get these things - ruining your relationship

You can avoid that - implement strong daily routine and keep it consistent!

➡️ Potty breaks every 4-6 Hours
➡️ 18 Hours of Crate Time Daily
➡️ 60-90 Minutes of Structured Exercise Daily
➡️ 1-2 Full Meals in a Bowl Daily
➡️ Weekly Grooming (Nails + Brushing)

If you're in my comments section asking for the science and data to back up my methods

You're not ready to work with me or take control of your difficult dog. You don't actually want to change anything yet... you want to "try"

I totally get it, though 💯

There was a point in my past when I wouldn't have been ready to work with me either

I was a soft sensitive dog mom once. I refused to punish my dog or correct behaviors that were seemingly "natural" for her... like sniffing

I needed to FEEL like I was IN CONTROL of my dog's training style since I had no actual control of my dog

so I demanded answers from trainers who didn't agree with things I was doing and I argued in comments 🙃

But it wasn't until I accepted that I was projecting because I had been taught wrong. I was frustrated that I was on social media looking for answers despite spending thousands on dog training already

Yet, It wasnt until i stopped using rewards-based & balanced training methods

It wasnt until I learned how to actually control (AKA dominating) a dog's movement, resources, space, & choices gently and effectively as a pack leader

That my dogs (now my client's) are experiencing such significant improvement in complex behavior issues and progress towards advanced training goals

Case after case... significant improvement

The science is that dogs are pack social animals. Dogs share 99% DNA with wolves. And if you brought one home but haven't accepted this instinctive, primal fact... I can't help you yet
