Step Two: Clean, Clean, Clean!
*If your dog has gone to the bathroom somewhere inappropriate, clean the area with an enzymatic cleaner. Dogs have an excellent sense of smell, they could be attracted to that same spot in the home and continue to urinate as a marking behavior.

Tips for crate training your pet!
*Toss several treats in the back of the crate and allow your pet to find them. Do this multiple times a day and when the pup goes inside to check for treats, you can reward them again.
*When you bring your pet home, be sure to have the crate accessible from the family’s common space. For some people, it will be convenient to have multiple crates.
*Before practicing crate confinement, be sure your pet has been taken outside to the bathroom, exercised and is ready for a nap. Too much time in a crate can make the dog anxious.

Crate training is important because it provides a safe, comfortable space for your dog to relax, sleep, and retreat to when needed. Crating can significantly aid in housetraining, prevent destructive behaviors, manage anxiety, and ensure safe travel. Many dogs may need to be crated at veterinary offices and (or) boarding facilities. Your pet being comfortable in a crate will be beneficial.
