Southern Oak Equestrian Center 50 acre Horse Farm that offers Riding Lessons, Summer Camps, and Boarding An active 4H club provides service, social and educational events for participants.

We are a full service equestrian facility conveniently located in North Raleigh right off of the outer loop (540). We offer all levels of hunt seat and dressage lessons, with many school horses to accommodate both beginning and advanced riders. We also offer a full service facility for boarders seeking a friendly and educational environment, with many training opportunities. Our facility is on 50

acres of land, with four outdoor riding rings and a round pen for introductory instruction. We invite you to contact us if you are interested in lessons, boarding, or just seeing what we have to offer.

Our Southern Oak Family suffered an incredibly difficult loss last week. We said goodbye to one of the most gentle giant of “mares” there could be. We say that because Jess had her opinions like most mares but she really was so very sweet. Jess was a lovely Mare and a wonderful lesson horse. We all wish she could have lived longer here with us but God decided he needed her more up with all the other unicorns in heaven. Jess, we will forever be grateful for your time you gave to us, your grace as such a young ottb in a lesson program, and your lessons you taught each and every everyone of us. Rest in peace sweet girl. We love you to the moon and back. ❤️

Our Story

We are a full service equestrian facility conveniently located in North Raleigh right off of the outer loop (540). We offer all levels of Hunter, Jumper and Equitation style lessons, with many school horses to accommodate both beginning and advanced riders. We also offer a full service facility for boarders seeking a friendly and educational environment, with many training opportunities. An active 4H club provides service, social and educational events for participants. We also have an IEA team that practices and competes through out the year and offers riders an opportunity to Horse Show without owning or leasing a horse. Our facility is on 50 acres of land, with four outdoor riding rings and a round pen for introductory instruction.
