2PawsUp was started in early 2007 by a small group helping to transport animals from the Harnett County Shelter to people who wanted to adopt but could not make it to the shelter themselves. After months of this service, we expanded our services to a full adoption agency. We have been approved as a North Carolina 501c3 non-profit organization. We are a devoted team of animal-loving philanthropists with a desire to make a difference in the North Carolina community.

Meet Bennett! Part Chihuahua, Dachshund and Weasel...? He is 9 years young and just the cutest little guy ever. He was rescued from a neglectful home and has been with his foster family for about three weeks now. He is on a great track to being house-trained (especially given that he was not in his previous home). He's used to being crated a few hours a day but needs an afternoon break, so if you work long hours he's not the one for you. At night he would prefer to be right by your side, he's content to sleep under the covers all night long. He walks well on a leash and will shoot quicks looks behind him to make sure you're still there. He is a snuggle bug 100% and wants to be near or on you whenever possible. He enjoys trips to Home Depot, Breweries, outdoor patios - if he can sit on your lap he's a happy boy. He does well with kids (who can respect boundaries) other dogs and cats! He really is an amazing dude who deserves an equally amazing life. So put in that application so you can meet this wonderful pup.

Meet Edamame! I know what you're thinking.. he doesn't look like a delicious vegetable. Don't worry you're not seeing things, he is indeed just a super adorable kitten. It was a marathon taking pictures of this little guy! He was so interested in greeting and playing with everyone that he would not sit still. He loves to run around and will chase anything that's moving. He is super social and does not understand the concept of stranger danger - if you have a wand toy he's trying to play with it. He's 16 weeks old, neutered and up to dat on vaccines until next year. Apply to adopt this cutie asap!

Whoa, look at that majestic bob cat running, leaping and climbing... oh wait that's just Crouton! This little feline LOVES to play - he's so fun to watch. He is quite good at entertaining himself, give him a plethora of mice toys and he will be entertained for hours. HE is 16 weeks old, neutered and up to date on vaccines until next year. Meet Bacon Bits! Part Bengal?? Who knows! Just look at those wonderful swirls. He is about 16 weeks old, neutered and up to date on vaccines until next year. He's been in a foster home with children and didn't mind those tiny humans (as long as they supplied treats). He is very playful and will have the funniest little zoomies. After he gets his exercise he'll settle down for some nice head scratches. The pictures don't do him justice, put in that application so you can meet this handsome boy in person.

Pepita Pepita! She's around 16 weeks old, she's spayed and up to date on vaccines until next year. She has a very social and playful personality. She's been in a foster home with children and she loves when the little humans swing the wand toy round and round. She has such beautiful markings and such an adorable little face. The boy who lived, the chosen one, or the sweetest boy you’ll meet, whatever you call him, Harry Poocher is one special pup! Harry was rescued from an abusive and neglectful home but that hasn’t kept him down. He loves to cuddle, is very loyal, and is friendly to all he meets. Harry is crate-trained and is on a great track to being house-trained (especially given that he was not in his previous home). His foster home has dogs and cats so he is comfortable with other pets! Harry will require someone patient and understanding with his healing process but this wonderful boy is well worth it. Let this sweet boy cast a spell on you and meet him today!

Selena Sunday! This sweet girl has been fostered at a boarding facility for 2 years now and would really love to be adopted! She is amazingly sweet and will become attached to her new owners no problem. She can't be with small kids or other pets, which is why it is taking so long to find her a home.
