We offer English lessons, Western lessons, and therapeutic riding services.

Proudly serving NC and beyond since 2003. We strive to build hope, increase self-esteem, and enhance the joy and inspiration for life in all individuals who participate in our programs. We offer a variety of able-bodied riding lessons as well as both fee-based and therapeutic riding sessions. We also have summer camps. HfH enables individuals to achieve their full potential using Equine Assisted Activities; promoting wellness, strength, and HOPE in partnership with a HORSE.

We offer English and Western riding to all ages (4+) and skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned rider looking to learn more or you’re riding for the first time, you’ll find your home at Horses for Hope.

Want to learn about the care and keeping of horses? Have a passion for farm work? 🐴
Join us this Saturday from 11:00AM to 12:00PM for orientation!
Current volunteers should join in around 12:00PM to work on projects around the barn ☀️

Note:
- closed-toe shoes required.
- must be age 15+ to volunteer independently. (Under 18 requires parental signature/approval).
- ages 5-14 are allowed to volunteer with some tasks, but must have a parent or guardian present.
- no experience required— we’ll teach you!
- bring a water bottle!
- be ready to have fun!

Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a barn work day! ✨ New volunteers will also be trained on these days. Our first work day of 2025 is Saturday, January 4 from 11:00AM-1:00PM.

We’ll teach you everything you need to know about the basics of equine care, barn maintenance, assisting with lesson programs, social media content creation, and more— just let us know what you’re most interested in!

This Saturday also happens to be our 1:00PM hay delivery, so definitely stick around if you’re interested in helping us unload and store hay!

Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Gloves are also great!

Volunteers must be 15+. Those under 18 must have a parent/guardian present.

🌟Our first #RIDEROFTHEWEEK is one of our hunt seat students, Payton! Payton rides with our instructor Jenn. Payton is always engaged with the horse she is riding, she is thoughtful and such a positive young horsewomen here at HFH - and she is always working hard during lessons. Payton is in the 7th grade, her favorite subject is science (👩‍🔬), her favorite color is purple (💜), she has four pets (🐶) AND four siblings (🏡), her birthday is June 6th (🎂) and her favorite HFH horse is our sweet Ladybug (🐞)! We are so proud to watch you grow in this sport and can’t wait to see all the things you accomplish.
