Starting December 2, 2024 we will be offering extended Urgent Care hours here at Armadale!

Urgent care hours are offered at Armadale as extended hours:
Monday - Friday 6pm - 10pm
Saturday 12pm - 5pm

Urgent care hours will allow us to provide treatment to patients with minor illness and injuries, after the hours of primary veterinarians, and at a lower cost than traditonal emergency hospitals. ✔️

Urgent care vs 24/7 Emergency Care

Symptoms of Illness or injuries seen at Urgent care and Emergency hospitals can often overlap. We do not expect you as a pet parent to determine the type of care your pet may need. Our on staff veterinarian will interpret based on your pets symptoms and behaviors which type of care, Urgent or Emergency would best suit your pet.

Conditions appropriate for an urgent care visit:
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Eye discharge and squinting
• Not drinking or eating
• Toxin ingestion
• Skin allergies
• Upper respiratory infections
• Urinary tract issues
• Abscesses
• Back pain
• Mild lameness or limping
• Minor wounds and lacerations
• Ear infections
• Vaccine reactions
• A**l gland problems

When to seek 24/7 Emergency care (life threatening injuries/illness) :
• Hit by car
• Major wounds and lacerations
• Uncontrollable bleeding
• Overnight hospitalization
• Amputation
