Little baby Louis is growing up! He is currently exploring everything… with his mouth 🤦🏻‍♀️ at least he is trying to! He likes having fun, eating, getting loved on, and occasionally being a little naughty. You could say he is your average golden! 🥰 He’s a fun little guy to have around.

Little Dallas is on the home stretch of his stay here!

Sometimes I feel like a meditation counselor teaching dogs the joys of slowing down, enjoying relaxation, and calming their minds. 🧘‍♀️ There are so many important life skills that we often forget to teach our pets. If it’s something you would like your dog to be able to do, help them learn how to do it! Even if it is seems like it should be natural!

We are going to work on getting some more reps in with Dallas and all of his newfound knowledge over the next few days and then he will be all set to head home!

Bubba is home and is a much calmer and more refined version of himself 😌

He went from literally chewing the walls, tables, crates, porch, gutters and anything else that felt nice to him to a well mannered gentleman who knows what is inappropriate and appropriate around the house. He knows how to walk nicely around the neighborhood, around town, and how to collect his thoughts and contain his impulses. I’m so proud of this little man. His family is so wonderful and is working hard to maintain his training and keep him their star companion. 🌟🌟

(Also, as cute as it secretly was, he also knows not to crawl in the dishwasher to lick dirty dishes anymore 😉)

Boaz is a big guy here to relearn how to approach life. He has the sweetest personality but some rather bad habits that are made even harder by his size.

He was hesitant at first to give up his wild man ways but he is starting to see the joy in working together with people! His favorite activities used to be dangerous and difficult to manage so we are reshaping him to truly enjoy cohesive activities with his family such as walks in the park and games in the back yard.

We can’t wait for him to go home and be the best family member and an enjoyable companion to have around! 🥰

There’s really nothing like a sweet but crazy bulldog!

It’s been really nice having Bubba around lately and we’re going to be so sad to see him go home soon. He has so much personality, it’s hard not to laugh at him and love all of his goofy antics! He has been a rockstar for learning but will definitely keep the best bits of character 😉

A little video from last night’s grooming session with Louis!

He loves grooming. He’s such a friendly guy though, any activity that involves human interaction is his favorite 😉 I have taken to calling him “Buddy the Elf in dog form”.

How often does your dog get groomed? Louis is losing so much puppy fur so it’s the perfect opportunity to work on his grooming skills! These skills can help so much in so many aspects of life. Nail trims keep his joints and feet feeling good (and your floors safer), bath time gets him used to water, the force dryer gets him used to wind and noises (and helps keep him cleaner and get out much more loose fur), brushing not only keeps their fur tangle free and neat but it can be very relaxing, participating in grooming helps him learn how to stand still and be patient, and the overall process helps to get him used to being handled all over!

Louis may be just a puppy but dogs are never too old to start learning the grooming process! Reach out if you would like some help, tips, or tricks!

It’s a month full of Cavaliers! Dallas is in the house and now we REALLY have cavalier fever!!

This little guy is only 4 months old and so small! He is here for some basic manners such as chewing on inappropriate things, play biting, jumping, door darting, potty training, and some basic commands and markers! He has a lot of foundations to learn in the next few weeks to set him up for a more successful and fun life with his loving family!

(Now to remember to train him and not just squeeze him the whole time 😍❤️🥰🐾)

Happy Fourth everyone!!
Louis had a really fun day of playing dominos, people watching, strolling around the fairgrounds, and watching his first fireworks! He is learning and growing so well. We prepped for today be slowly desensitizing him to loud noises and we still took extra precautions today to ensure it was a fun, positive learning experience for him. He’s on his way to bring a wonderful, stable, solid dog! GO LOUIS!!!!

What kinds of activities do you like to do with your dogs?
Clark likes anything that involves a ball or kong! He likes swimming enough in lakes and rivers, so now he is learning how to transfer that to a dock and clear water! Some dogs make the switch easily, some dogs need a little more guidance! Remember, things that may look simple to us don’t also look that way to dogs. We understand that clear water works the same as muddy water but to some dogs it just looks like a really big jump into nothing. Help them along!
Help your dog grow! Find games and activities that they love and help them succeed with them. No matter what, have fun.

Say hello to Louis!! 👋🏻

This is our long term resident, Louis! We are currently raising him as a service dog prospect for the Rescue 22 Foundation! He is an awesome puppy so far who loves chewing on anything he can, hopping around and playing, and LEARNING!! We can’t wait to see where this little guy goes. He’s a handful, but atleast he’s cute 😉
