By appointment only. Licensed by the NC Veterinary Medical Board, SAFE Care offers low-cost spay/neuter services for cats, kittens and small dogs. The SAFE Care Feline Spay/Neuter Clinic opened in 2001 to help address the pet overpopulation problem in Wake, Durham, Orange, Franklin, Johnston, Granville and Harnett counties. The clinic has sterilized close to 20,000 cats, kittens and small dogs!

The Pet Food Pantry needs ANY DRY CAT or DOG FOOD to help care for animals in need in our community. We give hundreds of pounds of food out to members of our community, and you can ensure we have the supplies we need.

SAFE Care Spay/Neuter Clinic is looking for a veterinary tech. 40 hours per week. Monday-Wednesday and Friday – 7 am to 5 pm. Experience in a veterinary practice is preferred but not required. Surgical experience is a real plus. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and demonstrate skill in animal handling. Benefits include medical insurance and PTO.
