Caring for your cat is easy! Remember they need some solid sleep time, cuddle time, and high quality food (but don't give into their pleading, monitor the amount of food you feed them!) And don't forget regular vet visits!

The Wake County Animal Center is facing a critical capacity, with only a handful of kennels remaining. As of today, the Center is caring for 236 dogs, two puppies, 59 cats, 197 kittens, two rabbits and two rats, and is rapidly running out of space.

To help ease overcrowding, the Center is waiving adoption fees for all dogs and cats who have been on the adoption floor for 15 days or more. The special runs from Thursday, May 29 through Sunday, June 8.

There are several ways the public can help:
🐶Adopt a pet from the Center
🐶Foster an animal through the Wake County Animal Center or one of its local rescue partners
🐶Volunteer time and skills to support daily care
🐶Purchase items from the Amazon Wish List
🐶Reunite found pets with their owners rather than bringing them to the shelter
🐶Rehome pets independently when possible

Ready to adopt? Check out our adoption gallery pets.wake.gov or come by and see the sweet faces for yourself! The shelter is open for adoptions daily from noon to 6 p.m., seven days a week. It is located at 820 Beacon Lake Drive, near the intersection of I-440 and New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

Our Story

We have been servicing the Raleigh- Garner community since 2002. A family owned and operated business, we strive to keep connection to our clients on a more intimate level. You won’t see a new doctor every time you visit. We know what your pet relationship is to you. We also know you have priorities and sometimes life gets in the way with the optimum pet care. We are pet owners too. We will work with you, if you will work with us to help give your pet the medical care it needs so you can enjoy each other for a long time.

We also reject cold, corporate business dynamics that you may have experienced with other clinics in the area. While it may be understandable from an efficiency standpoint to follow rigid protocols and procedures, we feel it takes away from the art of medicine. Simply put, pets are not automobiles. They don’t have alogrithms. They don’t have instruction manuals and we won’t treat your pet like a model unit of an autoparts store.

We look forward to building your trust, if you are willing to give us a try.

Sincerely,
