SPCA of Wake County - K9 Crew

To highlight dogs available for adoption at the SPCA of Wake County in Raleigh, NC - especially those that are long timers.

The K9 Crew, an initiative of the SPCA of Wake County's Behavior Team, is a group of trained volunteers that focus on highlighting some of the dogs who linger at the SPCA. The K9 Crew was first called the "Pit Crew" and originated to repair and rebuild the reputation of the American Pit Bull Terrier in our community. That work will continue as we move forward as the K9 Crew.

He has a soft heart and is eager to form a special bond with someone who appreciates his gentle spirit. His ideal home is calm and understanding, a place where he can build confidence and let his very playful personality shine. 🐾

Meet Otto — an 8 year old lovable pup with a big heart and a personality that shines. He’s friendly, confident, and always ready for attention. With his warm eyes and wagging tail, Otto has a way of making everyone he meets feel special.

He adores new friends, enjoys cuddles, and never misses a chance to show off his sweet smile. At about 75 lbs of pure charm, Otto is ready to bring love, laughter, and loyalty to your home.

Our best guy Orca has that Saturday smile! Even though he has been with us for entirely too long he doesn’t let that get him down. Orca is always happy to see the staff and volunteer friends who love him. Orca is looking for a home who can give him lots of activity and mental stimulation - he is smart and energetic. He has so much love to give in return ❤️🐾❤️

Meet Noa! I’m the kind of dog who brings a little bit of sunshine wherever I go. Loyal, affectionate, and always ready for either an adventure or a cozy cuddle session, I’ve got a heart as big as my smile.

I know all the classics like “sit,” “stay,” and “shake,” and I love spending my days soaking up the sun, going for walks, and enjoying every belly rub that comes my way. At 64 pounds and 10 years old, I’m a gentle soul just looking for a loving home to share my golden years with.

I came here after my previous family had to let me go because of a child’s allergies, but I’m ready to start my next happy chapter.

Happy Monday from Rambo! This cutie patootie is 6 months old and currently weighs 30 pounds, but has more growing to do. Rambo is a party pup who loves to have a good time! He’s looking for a home where he will be able to learn all the dog things he needs to know (like not playing with his leash while walking). Stop by the SPCA and meet Rambo soon 🐾❤️🐾

Meet Cleopatra! I’m a 3-year-old pup ready to make a grand entrance into your life. My personality is a perfect mix of friendliness and charm 🌟 I love people and have a way of winning hearts wherever I go. Whether we’re relaxing at home or heading off on fun adventures, I’ll be your loyal companion through it all.

I’m fully grown at about 42 lbs and originally came from the Scotland County Humane Society after being found as a stray. I’ve started treatment for heartworm disease, so please chat with an adoption specialist for more info.

Shhhh…Don’t tell Lexa she’s 10 years old. She’s a happy girl who sometimes likes to chase after toys, but doesn’t bring them back - so we hope her new family likes to fetch 🤣. When she isn’t playing, you may find her relaxing on a comfy bed. You may also hear Lexa singing the songs of her people, so keep that in mind if you have neighbors close by. Since she is a queen 👑 she will prefer to be your only 4 legged love.
