SPCA of Wake County - K9 Crew

SPCA of Wake County - K9 Crew To highlight dogs available for adoption at the SPCA of Wake County in Raleigh, NC - especially those that are long timers.

The K9 Crew, an initiative of the SPCA of Wake County's Behavior Team, is a group of trained volunteers that focus on highlighting some of the dogs who linger at the SPCA. The K9 Crew was first called the "Pit Crew" and originated to repair and rebuild the reputation of the American Pit Bull Terrier in our community. That work will continue as we move forward as the K9 Crew.

Hey there! I’m 🐾Chip🐾 — a 6-month-old bundle of joy who’s equal parts puppy enthusiasm and big-hearted charm. I’m growing fast (already about 53 lbs!) and will likely land around 70–80 lbs when I’m all grown up!

I’m an outgoing, wiggly greeter who can’t help but get excited when I meet new people. Think of me as a playful burst of sunshine: energetic, affectionate, and always ready for the next fun moment. Whether we’re exploring, playing, or just hanging out, I promise to bring laughter, loyalty, and lots of tail wags into your life.

If you’re looking for a cheerful, adventurous companion who turns ordinary days into something special, I’m your guy. Adopting me may cause frequent smiling and spontaneous bursts of joy — consider yourself warned!

Our handsome guy Grasshopper is still looking for his forever home ❤️

Grasshopper is a sweet, slightly shy guy who just needs a little time to settle in. In new places he can be cautious, but with some patience—and maybe a bit of cheese—he’ll warm right up! He has a soft heart and is eager to form a special bond with someone who appreciates his gentle spirit. His ideal home is calm and understanding, a place where he can build confidence and let his very playful personality shine. 🐾

Meet Cindy! This sweet 2-year-old girl is ready to find her forever family. She may start out a little shy, but once she feels safe, she’s all about snuggles, gentle pets, and endless affection.

Cindy loves tasty treats, cozy cuddle sessions, and quiet moments with her favorite humans. She weighs about 59 lbs and is full grown—perfect for anyone looking for a medium-sized lovebug.

She’s looking for a patient family who’ll help her blossom with confidence and show her just how good life can be. In return, she’ll be your loyal companion and constant source of love.

Cindy came to us from Mitchell County Animal Rescue and can’t wait to start her next chapter. Could that be with you?

Meet Peabody 🐾

This handsome 3-year-young, 50-pound sweetheart is as friendly as they come, with a constantly wagging tail to prove it. Peabody is playful, fun-loving, and always ready to make you smile. He’d prefer a home without cats—they’re just a bit too intriguing for him.
Peabody is sure to brighten your day. Stop by the SPCA to meet him soon—you won’t regret it! ❤️

Meet Noa! I’m the kind of dog who brings a little bit of sunshine wherever I go. Loyal, affectionate, and always ready for either an adventure or a cozy cuddle session, I’ve got a heart as big as my smile.

I know all the classics like “sit,” “stay,” and “shake,” and I love spending my days soaking up the sun, going for walks, and enjoying every belly rub that comes my way. At 64 pounds and 10 years old, I’m a gentle soul just looking for a loving home to share my golden years with.

I came here after my previous family had to let me go because of a child’s allergies, but I’m ready to start my next happy chapter.

My adoption fee is waived thanks to a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization. Could your home be the forever place I’ve been waiting for?
