The world of pet food can be complicated, especially if you have a pet with special dietary needs or health challenges. We’re Steve and Amy Dicks, the local owners and operators of Pet Wants East Raleigh, and we opened this business because we saw an opportunity to bring fresh, healthy, convenient pet food to the community we love.

We’ve been together since 1992 and now have two beautiful children, Xander and Sienna. We’ve spent the majority of our careers in retail and sales and have always had pets in our lives. Currently we have a French Bulldog named Ms. Giggles. After finding Pet Wants, we started looking into the food we fed Giggles. We thought it was a decent food that was within our budget, but as we researched Pet Wants, we started to realize how many fillers are in most pet foods and how long some of those foods have been sitting on the shelf. Now Ms. Giggles is eating Pet Wants – she absolutely loves it and we feel good about giving it to her.
