Tara just went home, very happily, with her family! She was so excited when she saw who was on the other side of that door this morning!!! The past 20 days with her were wonderful! We can't wait until she comes to visit us again! 💜💜💜 Best job in the world!!

We are on day 4 and look who is coming to me for affection! 💜💜 She is also now following me everywhere I go in the house. She is such a a sweet and gentle girl. I am thrilled that she is becoming much more comfortable here now!

Unsure pups usually come with unsure owners. When dog parents have a hard time leaving their baby, I make sure to update very frequently. I want them to know I use the time and patience necessary to make their beloved pet as comfortable as possible. It hasn't been 24 hours yet but we have made great progress with Tara. I can't wait to share a photo with her people when she is cuddling in the bed with me. I am confident over the next several days that I will accomplish this goal!

Not every dog that stays with us is 100% comfortable from the start. It takes time and patience to gain the trust of unsure pups. When Tara got here she wouldn't let me near her. After a few hours of giving her space and with a lot of help from Jolene I have made progress. She stuck with Jolene, but in the beginning she wasn't eating. Today she had a treat and even ate the egg I scrambled for her! By the end of this 19 days I expect to have a new beautiful friendship!
